I bent forth toward the mirror and took a close look at my face. I don’t see any print or mark of my torn flesh but the thread of pain on my cheeks was still there. I massaged my cheeks in a circular motion. Then, I filled my mouth with air and pursed my lips puffing my cheeks. I transferred the air from the other side of my cheek then to another. The process stretched my flesh and somehow reduced the soreness. The door of the cubicle opened and it belched Mr. Murray.

A small whimper leaves my lips as my eyes fall to my lap. Deimos laughs loudly head thrown back mouth open. A laugh from his belly. He meets with a lift of my lips and the glare of my fang. His laughter dies into chuckles as he peers down at me. "Lumina. This is normal. Plus I like how your cheeks have filled out." He says giving a soft pinch to my left cheek.

Reign stated. "Chipmunk cheeks? Seriously?" I asked her. "Well... yeah... I mean, look at her, I mean, chipmunk cheeks sounds better then fat face," Reign replied. I almost laughed out loud at her response. I managed to stop myself from laughing though, by faking a bout of coughing. Looking back at Stayce, I remained silent. "Well someone is learning to keep her mouth shut," Stayce said, smirking at me once more. Suddenly she was grinning a cat that ate the canary grin, enjoying herself. She felt she now had the upper hand based solely upon my silence in that moment.

Silently, I crawled onto the floor and peeped around the corner to see the furball on the counter having a feast of peanuts. Sitting on the countertop, he took another peanut out of the small bowl that Mikayla left for him and cracked the shell with his teeth. He nibbles on the nut, oblivious to the dangerous predator that lurks in the dark. Slithering in front of the island, in measured timing, Try sprang in the air. The chipmunk froze as the white fur around his small eyes recedes and his orbs enlarge. Spotting my ruthless flying wolf in the air, he drops the nut and zips from the counter. My body weight slides on the counter as I manage my footing and dart to the floor at lightning speed

Chuckles escaping her lips again and again. " Oh gosh! Chipmunks are cute Mat! I called you cute!" He stills. Stopping the tickling. Making her look at him and again burst into laughing see that cute expression on his face. " Gosh Mat. You are adorable." She pulls his cheeks. And he becomes more irritated. Moving back from her. To be only stopped by her arms enclosing around his neck. " Oh come on my chipmunk. Don't be angry. You already know how much I love you."

“Mr. what!?” At that moment, the chipmunk went close to the bunny and said, “ME-OW.” The two started laughing afterwards at the cat joke. The pussycat turned and gave the two a menacing smile that did not go unnoticed from the two. The bunny and the chipmunk gasped in horror as they saw the look on the cat’s face. “It was him.” The bunny immediately pointed at the chipmunk. “It was all him. I have nothing to do with that joke.”

I cried, he stretches his hands"Are you okay?" he flashes a smile "Yes am fine" I get up my feet, and men was he tall, he's dressed in black and gray. "Good, you better watch where you're going next time Chipmunk , I do hear bat are blind during the day" he smirks My eye widens "what-what did you say?" I asked nervously "Don't pretend like you didn't hear me doll" he winks at me and walks away. What in the 90s high school movie is happening...

I looked at the men around me, and they didn't acknowledge it in the slightest. I watched a little sparrow land on a branch. "I want to see her closer," I heard a voice announce, and it shockingly matched the beak movement of the little sparrow. It practically sang the words along with its birdsong. Narrowing my eyes, I looked around us. My eyes settled on a little chipmunk holding a scrap of food from Ragnar's pack. "The big one is slow," the chipmunk jeered, mouth moving exactly with the words I was hearing.

Maybe I was the danger they warned about. At least the sweet little furballs didn't turn their heads and pretend to not notice me when I walked by. In fact, they liked me, and would often come and say hello, chirping happy songs about nuts and whatever else they liked. Except when Gera was with me, they were too smart to run toward an owl who would happily turn them into her next meal. She was a good familiar but she did put a damper on my burgeoning relationship with the chipmunks.

I have a puffy cheek and it makes him smile right away, like a mischievous boy who’s going to make fun of me in a second, "What? I look fat again?" "Just in one cheek. It's cute, you look like a chipmunk, collecting nuts for the winter," he responds with a chuckle, "Are you okay, though? Did they extract a tooth? Will you survive this?" "I don’t know, maybe not. I hadn't gone to the dentist in over two years and apparently, I had a bunch of stuff going on," I admit in a groan, turning on my computer and grabbing my phone to inspect my face on the front camera. I look like shit, "Ugh."
