“Aren’t you Drew’s girlfriend?” Hannah glanced at me sarcastically. “You actually dare to bring your own father here? Aren’t you afraid of giving him a heart attack?” Then, she walked smugly over to Damon. “Don’t get it wrong. I don’t have a materialistic boyfriend like him. I’m Damon’s fiancee. “Only a poor student keeps chasing after things that don’t belong to him. He bothered me for six years. Now it’s time to teach him a lesson. “By the way, he must’ve taken out a lot of loans over the years, right? You must have worked so hard to pay them off. But I’m not going to be such a fool.”

I asked again as my mind suddenly began to recall how he spoke about his ex girlfriend Sophie and how he wanted to get back together with her. “Do you love her?” Chris asked suddenly ignoring my previous questions. “That isn’t the point Chris” I said again angrily. “Do you love her?” He asked again this time even more seriously. I wasn’t sure how to reply, with everything that has happened I wasn’t sure if it was love or just a special kind of friendship feelings “No” I blurted out before I could even realize. “Thank Goodness” Chris breath out in relief while he patted my shoulder “See you around” He said and then walked out.

Then, there was the drama between Darell and his family and the two supposed future Lunas. If you ask Chris, he would say that he found it very amusing how his best friend had jumbled through the past few months between taking care of the pack, staying away from his mother, and the strange lady she had brought home. He also felt the pain his best friend was going through denying himself the pleasure of claiming his mate. Of course, Chris had tried to help his friend by asking the redhead out but the stubborn woman had refused to give him an audience not to talk about listening to him.

She wanted to stay as Mark's imaginary girlfriend because the alternative meant going on more painfully awkward dates. The last date had been the worst out of all of them. "Who do you think you are? You think people are lining up to be your friend?" I did not answer him. I watched Vivian. The corner of her mouth tugged up, smug, despite the tears. After ten years, she still did not know who I actually was.

Archie slapped Nathan's back. "You're always a jerk, Nathan." Johnny teased. "You have no idea how happy I am that finally! My freaking genius best friend will have a girlfriend for the first time!" Nathan was so excited. "Stop talking, Nathan!" Henry yelled again. "Come on, Henry. I already had fifteen girlfriends and three girls waiting for me after class. But you, you had no one! Aren't you sick of being a dull creature?" Nathan sat next to him. "It's none of your business."

Gianna grinned, ignoring my glare. “I need to hear everything, and now,” Chris announced, relaxing back on his recliner. I can't say I am surprised, I expected worse, and I feel he is holding back because of Gianna. I know this because he is my best friend. Chris, Matt, and I grew up together and have been pals all our life. Though he and Gianna are friends, they ain't that close because Chris is a very private person; a party animal, but private. “He is…” She lessened Chris's curiosity about my boy ignoring my ass, which I didn't mind.
