“In two days, I'm meeting with someone who will improve my situation. I'm so excited, Chris. So fucking happy.” Chris darted me an odd look before his lips twitched into a smile. “Is that so? I'm glad to hear that. Is that someone an attorney?” At his question, I burst into a bout of rib-cracking laughter. Damn, just how oblivious and dumber could Chris get. “Did I say something funny?” The fool laughed along with me, further cracking me up in the process. “No,” I shook my head in negation as I slapped his shoulder. “I just thought of something funny.”

Like, none of this concerned him in the slightest. Chris was fuming, visibly shaking. I forgot my own predicament for a minute because, damn, it was delicious to watch him squirm. Olivia looked bored with the whole interaction, like she was just waiting for them to get done with this…child’s play, so she could start her usual criticism. Lucy was practically choking on her own amusement. The girl couldn’t hide her grin if her life depended on it, and honestly, I didn’t blame her. She’d had her spats with Chris, too, so watching someone else knock him down a peg was probably therapeutic.

Gianna asked quietly, taking a seat beside me. “Since he got his mind f*cked up by an inmate,” Chris answered as he dropped the tray on the table. “You told him?” Gigi laughed, throwing me a pitiful glance because she knew Chris will never let me forget. “I regret telling the fool,” I told, making Chris give me his middle finger which I returned gladly. He sat across from us passing some almonds around. “At least he hasn't f*cked him,” Chris spoke up again taking a swing at his beer and missed the comical expression on Gigi's face as she snickered.

"Touche!" Lorenzo's eyes widened as he turned to see Chris standing at the entrance, flanked by his men. Chris leaned casually against the doorframe, one hand in his pocket, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "Lorenzo," Chris drawled, his tone mocking, "you really are a sore loser. You can’t even handle the next generation. Trying to pull the trigger after getting your ass handed to you? That’s not just loser behavior; it proves you’ve always been one."

I can’t help but laugh out loud about that thought. “What’s so funny, little Luna?” Toby asks. “I was just thinking about how the two of you are so close that you’re practically twins. It’s kinds of funny.” They both emit playful growls causing me to laugh harder. “See?” I ask. They both smile and laugh with me. “Okay, little queen, you’re right. It is kind of funny.” Chris says. He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear as he gets serious. “How are you feeling?”

It was a faint feeling unlike in the past but Chris knew that the demon just fed. “Chris, is he on any social media?” Alanna asked again. “He’s not.” Chris answered and already went back to work so his classmate couldn’t ask anymore question. -- “Your cousin is famous already.” Kurt commented while they remove their apron as they are already done with their shift. “That guy is very arrogant, you shouldn’t let him hear that or his head will explode from pride.” Chris answered as he changes his shirt. “I want to go home…” He mumbled.

He wiggled his brows and she chuckled. He was funny. They got inside and got to their seats. The menu had a lot of things on it and Chris insisted on his favorite. So they both ordered grilled cheeseburgers. The old Evelyn would've thought millions of times before having dinner with a guy like this. Chris was tall and a cute man with a charming smile and he was very funny. He joked around a lot and liked to make people smile. He had a light refreshing personality that could lift your mood instantly and also their passion for his job and hobby was the same. They both wanted to be the best barista. Chris told her how it was difficult for him when he started his coffee shop, it was pretty tough

They were his parents and of course it would sting like a bitch every time he thinks of how they wanted nothing to do with him. "Hey, cheer up you motherfucker." I gave his cheek a light tap. "You look so fucking ugly with that face." "Right? What the fuck is. . ." Dean mimicked the sad look on Chris' face. "What the fuck is that? That's not Chris." Chris let out a low laugh. "Exactly, that's Chris." I said, nudging his shoulder. "Chris is full of laughter, and joy, and smiles. " Dean continued, "And is funny and a good person."

Alpha Dillon stood between my brother and my mate, “No shifting, you are just sparing” TJ looked back at me and smiled, just as Chris swiped her legs out under her, causing her to crash to the floor on her back. Chris went to pin her and TJ rolled out from underneath him and jumped to her feet whilst kicking Chris in the ass, knocking him face first into the ground. TJ burst out laughing when Chris stood up, dirt plastered to his face. It was the first time I had heard her truly belly laugh in a while and it made my heart skip a beat, the only down side is, it was not me making her laugh.

Chris marvelled inwardly. "Excuse me, sir," said Luna, to which Stefano immediately replied—but not Chris. The man seemed to be frozen to the spot by Luna’s charm. Chris only came to his senses when Stefano kicked his leg from under the table. "Ouch," winced Chris, who immediately shot a sharp glance at Stefano. Far from feeling guilty about his actions, Stefano simply stared at Chris with a lazy look. Stefano’s gaze could be interpreted as, "Don't act like an idiot, Chris; the girl has just greeted you!"
