The next day, a little after 11 a.m., Eddie stood at the arrival gate holding a large, garish sign. Hazel, wearing sunglasses and a mask, stood beside him, her face completely concealed. After all, Eddie’s sign was the epitome of humiliation. It screamed, 'Welcome Home, Lord Xander and Lady Sully, Rulers of the Kingdom of Awesome!' in glittery neon pink, complete with a couple of misspelled words and stick figures holding hands under a lopsided rainbow. To top it off, Eddie had drawn a crown on Xander’s head and a tiara on Sully’s—with an unfortunate resemblance to a UFO.

I curled up with Chris in his bed as we watched a movie. He’s been worried about me over the past week, which I feel bad about. I hate worrying everyone. Chris surprised me with a home-cooked dinner and a movie; A Journey Back to Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie ever. I sighed as we watched, “What’s wrong?” Chris asked; I shook my head, but Chris was not about to take that for an answer. He paused the movie and straightened up, waiting for me to talk to him.

"I'm back with Taren." Taren extended his hand. "It's nice to see you again." "The pleasure is mine," Mr. Cummings replied, shaking his hand. "What can I do for you today?" Taren glanced over at Kiki and then turned back to the man who looked so much like Santa Claus. "Christmas presents." "Christmas is over," he replied. Taren nodded, his lips curling into a smile. "Yes, but we didn't get to celebrate properly, so we're going to make up for it tonight."

It's been a long day for me and basically everyone in the Mansion. Tomorrow is Edde's birthday and the house has been busy. The event planner and her workers were all over the place and I couldn't get my Private time. I walked out of the bathroom after a warm Shower as I saw Edde standing with his eyes peering on his phone, he has been busy all day watching the event planners and he couldn't find time to change into something more comfortable he was still on his night wear and he was obviously occupied with something else on his phone.

"And, this is my belated Christmas gift to you." When I accepted the license from him, I realized it was for a flower shop he'd opened for me, right in the middle of Coralsville. I hugged the license to my chest and looked at him, unaware of the tears streaming down my face. Louis scooped me into an embrace. "You're a grown woman. What's with all the tears?" he teased. As he spoke, he leaned down gently toward me. My tears melted into his kiss. … A few days later, my company notified me that the previous incident had been thoroughly investigated and that I had indeed not leaked any company data.

It pulses once, like a heartbeat. I swallow hard. Strange things have always happened when I’m upset, lights flickering, books falling, dreams that feel too real, but this feels different. Like the pendant is reacting to something out there. Or calling to it. The fog thins as we turn onto a narrow road lined with lanterns shaped like pumpkins. They sway even though there’s no wind. “Hallow’s Edge goes all out for Halloween,” Ms. Carter says cheerfully. “Biggest festival in the county. You’ll be here just in time.”

Now it was an unspoken rule in the company because I wouldn't have it any other way. A text notification lit up the screen of my phone, snagging my attention away from the past, and I picked it up, quickly dialing the number of the agency Parker had just sent, and waited with bated breath as it rang. “You have reached The Xmas Xpress, Erika speaking. What can I do for you?” a feminine voice chirped in one breath with practiced professionalism. “Um, hello, I'd like to book a Santa Claus mascot,” I said, shifting on my feet.

I said and without missing a beat, he slowly leaned in and took my lips in his in a passionate kiss. “I love you Iyawo mi” he whispered as we disengaged. “I love you my husband” **** 25th December “We spell Christmas and light up the tree” The Master of ceremonies said from the center of the carnival beside the huge Christmas tree and the crowd broke out in soft murmurs “Christmas is too long jhoor!” “Christmas ke” the women murmured. The Mc chuckled and waved his hands in order to get decorum again. “Alright alright!” “How about we spell Jesus? He’s the reason for the season innit?!” He asked looking around at the women’s face for approval.

3, 2, 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR! The cheers were deafening as everybody in that party began to dance the night away as they welcomed the start of a more hopeful and prosperous year for their pack.
