Last night. After changing into red lace lingerie, she brushed her long blonde hair and admired herself in the mirror. She always felt confident in her curvy body, and she knew how many times her body had attracted men and women, which made her so sure that it would work on Cyrus. With a wink at her reflection, she stepped out of the bathroom and into the room. "Hello, Mr. Noah," she said in a sultry voice, and watched as James' jaw slackened at the sight of her. She ran her hands from her thigh to her chest, then she cupped her breasts. "Do you like what you see?"

“It's the most beautiful gift anyone has ever given to me. Thank you.” “You're welcome,” Blake said. She brushed her lips against his, then took a small gift wrapped in red paper and gave it to Blake. “I saw this in an antique shop…” Nicola murmured, happy and nervous at the same time. He opened it and held his breath. It was a first edition of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens. “How did you know?” Blake asked, totally bemused. “I saw the collection in your office… And you referred to yourself as Scrooge, so…”

The third room is locked. I stand in front of the locked door for a long moment, hand on the handle, knowing this is important. Why lock a door in your own home unless you're hiding something? I move on before I get caught. The hallway opened into a massive living area, all windows and modern furniture and that enormous Christmas tree I saw when I first woke up. Presents are stacked underneath, wrapped in silver and white. I wonder if any of them are real or if they're just props in the set design of our supposed perfect life.

She stood at the corner, arms folded, smile sharp as a glass ornament. Jace straightened instantly. I stepped back so fast I nearly tripped. A vintage wooden sign above the entrance read ‘La Praline Célestine’. The windows were dark, shutters closed. A tasteful handwritten sign on the door read: "Fermé pour les vacances de Noël. Closed for Christmas break." I clenched my jaw and stepped back from the window. But then I caught it—a glow. Warm light spilling from a second-floor window above the shop. I backed up along the cobblestone sidewalk until I found the right angle. There. A flicker of movement. A Christmas tree stood tall in the corner of the living room, its twinkling lights casting soft gold across the art-filled walls. Then Noah appeared, bobbing awkwardly into view, looking sheepish and still very drunk.
