A way for my pack to show off their female population. My eyes scanned the crowd but neither really saw through the mass of bodies nor heard far due to the music blaring from the speakers. The fairy lights covering the pillars and the railings were eye-catching but what stood at the spotlight was the moon. I might have forgotten it was a full moon night today. How magnificent it felt, to be under the moonlight that seeped through the clouds, falling on us from time to time. A male gestured me over, and despite my nerves, I approached him with a curtsy when I sensed the power coming from him. He smelt of gamma blood, a third in command or the warrior wolf.

She looked at the young girl with deep, understanding green eyes. "You're not a monster," Cindy said softly, her voice carrying a calm, soothing warmth that cut right through the cold wind. "My name is Cindy. I used to think I was a monster too. Every time I got scared, winds would blow doors off their hinges and break windows." The girl blinked through her tears, looking at Cindy. "You... you have powers too?" "I do," Cindy smiled gently, taking another step down the icy stairs. "And these are my brothers, Colin and Caleb. That's my mom, Elena, and Doc Nathan. You don't have to stay out in the rain. Come inside where it's warm."

"Unfortunately, greediness seem to be greater than common-good." Indeed, I kept her far too long to be an expert of restraint. I do let her run free and let her fill her belly when the full moon arise which makes her even more uncontrollable. That is the only time I satiate the link between us, and though it was fulfilling, it bears great risk. Hunters and mercenaries alike make a goof bounty of big wildings and we may have been a victim once or twice, but we were lucky to escape them.

As they began to discuss ideas in more depth, Charlie found herself sketching furiously, her pencil dancing across the page as she captured the essence of their conversation. At that moment, surrounded by her new friends, Charlie felt less alone hearing stories about the struggles her friends had to deal with trying to change people's perceptions of them as a whole. As she continued to sketch she would stop and join in sharing tales she herself had heard. The group laughed and rolled their eyes at some of the ridiculous things people believe about them. Charlie shared her sketches and the group came to a decision in which direction they planned to go in. And as the sun dipped below the horiz

she calls out, a smirk playing at her lips. She just had to end with another jab about the formal. Right when Axel was here. God, I’ll kill this girl someday. Axel, however, doesn’t seem to pick up on Corey’s final remark. His eyes are fixed on the book in front of me. “What are you reading?” “It’s… nothing. Just a story.” But almost as if he can sense my bluff, he flips the front page with ease, revealing the title sprawled in bold letters: LYCANTHROPY: HISTORY, MYTHS & OLD FOLKLORE.

Grabbing a fistful of her hair, I pulled at her with all of my might, but she didn’t budge. I wanted to scream for help, but I felt a buzzing inside of my head and my mouth wouldn’t move. Cindy was in a type of sexual feeding frenzy as she reached up and kneaded my breasts like a nursing baby kneads its mother while she continued to drink my blood. I tried to writhe free from beneath her, but to no avail. From what I could tell, she’d fallen under the frenzy of the full moon and wouldn’t stop feeding on me until I had nothing left to give.

Cindy’s POV That goddamn wolf. I wanted to kill it so badly. I was doing so good at convincing Hailey that here was the best for her and then she just had to ruin it. Now I will have to start again playing the best friend. Well, I have another week till the red moon. I needed her blood before then and I wanted to make sure that I had everything ready, but now I will have to wing it. Using my abilities, I let my people know that my plan would not be done today and that they must be ready when I needed them. With the confirmation that they would be, I leave my room.

I felt Brian’s hand slowly pulling away from mine. “Fuck!” Brian said angrily, pacing around the room. “I know it's disheartening for you, but please don't dwell too much on it. The moon goddess will bless us with an heir that would rule the pack very soon,” Jade said and excused himself out of the room. Brian took a sharp look at me once before storming out of the room with Becca following him. I closed my eyes tightly as I held onto my lower abdomen. “That was my little pup. But now, it's… gone.” I sobbed.

When he placed it on the table, Lyra felt a vibration run through the air — faint, like a whisper she could almost hear. “Few remember it,” Eldritch said. “Fewer still believe. But every few centuries, the Moon marks one of her own. Not a wolf, not a human — something in between. A bridge, or a blade.” Lyra unwrapped the silk with trembling hands. Inside was a fragment of parchment, the ink faded but legible, the edges burned. It wasn’t written like a report. It was a poem. “When blood and moon entwine in flame, a child of dusk shall bear the name.
