~ CARAMEL'S POV The game we played with Blaze resting inside was called Corner run and I was the one in charge of it. It was a chasing game. One team was to start in one corner of a court and the other team was to start in one corner of the court furthest away. The goal was to catch one member of the other team by chasing them around the outside of the courts. And we set the time limit to 5 minutes.

Piper had asked me to make some of my ‘famous’ mint chocolate chip cookies and send them to her. Sleep hadn’t been coming easily over the past week that I stayed here in the Gamma suite, so I figured that I’d get the cookies done tonight so that I could mail them off tomorrow. We had all of the ingredients here except for the peppermint extract, which was a key component. I knew that there was some down in the packhouse’s kitchen. Hopefully, I could sneak right in and right back out. I had just climbed onto the counter to grab the extract when I realized that it had been a futile hope.

After that, I’d walk away for good. Staring at his face, I breathed deeply in and out several times. Brigitte couldn't bear to see Darcy's attention on me, so she took his arm and said, "Darcy, Ginger has been spoiled since childhood so don’t let her get to you." I almost laughed when I heard what she said. I, Ginger Folan, was spoiled? How dare she?! "Ginger, there will a Hunting Competition at the Spirit Fall tonight. Darcy will take me there. Corrine praised as she took another cookie. I just smile, knowing that she’s right. Noah can’t get enough of them, and neither can I. Rowan doesn’t really love sweet things, but he tried them once, and he had to admit that they were good. If Teresa ever decided to start a cookie business, she would sell. That’s how good she was. We continue to chat and fill ourselves with Teresa’s goodies. Thirty minutes later, there was still no word from Rowan. Exhaling in defeat, I turn to Corrine. “I think I’ll take you up on your offer. It’ll be hectic shopping with Iris and at this point, I don’t think Rowan will get back to me.”

The farce didn't end just because I left. Gaius's affair lingered at the top of trending searches for days, stirring up storms across the city. Back when we started our business, people in the industry jokingly called us the "Golden Couple" of commerce. We were so plain then, barely distinguishable from passersby. "It's no trouble at all! With the vanilla extract in hand, Hazel finishes making the sugar cookie dough. The three friends roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to make all sorts of shapes - stars, hearts, and even a few gingerbread men. She scooped up a puppy, its tail wagging enthusiastically, while Susan giggled and cuddled a particularly curious rabbit. As the evening sun cast a warm, golden glow, Susan kept her promise to Zayn. She skillfully mixed ingredients for her famous chocolate chip cookies, filling the kitchen with the comforting aroma of baking. Luna, in the meantime, embarked on her own culinary adventure, preparing a batch of buttery popcorn. Their combined efforts filled the house with the irresistible scents of freshly baked cookies, cupcakes, and buttered popcorn. It was an inviting aroma that made Zayn's return all the more delightful.
