It's Not Too Late
Then, I apologized and left.
With the last ten dollars in my pocket, I went to the pharmacy and then headed home.
Upon returning home, I went to my grandfather's room, picked up his photo, and held it close.
"Grandpa, I'm sorry. I couldn't live the way you wanted.
"You said that if I like someone, I should boldly pursue him without leaving any regrets.
"But, Grandpa, it's been so tiring for me to keep pursuing, and I've given up.
"Can I come over to your side to keep you company, Grandpa? If I don’t hear a reply from you, I’ll consider your silence as consent."
