Celestite Wolf

Celestite Wolf

“It may not be safe.” As the light slowly faded out, I could see Circe on the ground, the light fading out into her hand, into whatever it was that she held. She appeared unconscious. “Circe!” I yelled as I ran over to her, kneeling beside her. “Circe! Are you okay?” She groaned as she opened her eyes. “I’m okay, but it’s a lot of magic to use and I didn’t trust anyone to come with me to do it. Even as a queen, somethings are best kept a secret.”

Crimson Outcast

Crimson Outcast

The next few hours would be critical, and I intended to make the most of them. After two hours of waiting, Circe and I head out, ensuring we reach the meeting place well before Caden arrives. The night is thick with anticipation as we make our way through the shadows, every step a careful dance of preparation and deceit. Circe's eyes gleam with an eerie light as she begins her incantations, weaving a potent barrier that would prevent Caden from being tracked. Her words are a blend of ancient tongues, resonating with power that seems to pulse through the air around us. I watch her, marveling at the precision and the depth of her craft.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I shout helplessly. “You’re his animai, try something! Anything!” She shouts just as Circe gets to her feet. A ring of cobalt glows around her eyes as she summons two balls of water into the palms of her hands. As Circe throws each ball at Eisa with extreme force, Eisa steps forward summoning another water whip to her other hand, and with perfect precision, whips both balls as they fly at her, sending water splashing across the room.

Brooke Pilawa
Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

Another excellent book! I couldn't put it down that I finished reading it in a day. anxiously waiting for book 6 to finish--not a fan of cliffhangers:) Or I may go back and re-read the series while I wait.

The Legend of The Hybrid

The Legend of The Hybrid

“I have no plans of going anywhere, not without her, at least.” She cocked her head to the side, letting her long, black hair fall over her shoulder. The strong scent of oak, fennel, and rosemary wafted off her, calming Elias ever-so-slightly. The protection spell she wore around her neck still brought back fond memories for the ancient vampire. “Your child is fine. I have my own guarding her,” Circe responded. “Why can’t I have my own?” he retorted; but, he did not completely brush past the fact that Circe has seen Claire. His voice dropped, allowing a fraction of his desperation to show through, “How is she?”

My Father's Rival Is My Lover

My Father's Rival Is My Lover

Suddenly, the tank’s eyes opened. Pale blue. Empty. But aware. A Voice From Above Clapping echoed through the chamber. All heads turned upward. Circe descended from a platform above, dressed in white, her silver hair braided into a crown. Her boots clicked against the steel staircase. She smiled. “Alma. You’ve returned. Just in time to meet your legacy.” Alma raised her weapon. “Shut it down. All of it.” Circe’s smile didn’t waver. “You misunderstand. This isn’t Eden. This is after Eden. This is Iceblood Genesis.”

Thrown Into The Mafia

Thrown Into The Mafia

“Mom, please don’t do this” I begged looking at my mother with a small twinge of hope but a laugh echoed around me as she stepped closer and I looked around the dark room I was in. “Don’t fucking call me that Amara” he voice spat my name out with a venom coating as she stepped closer, some of the darkness in the room now falling behind her as she looks down at me. “You’re allowed to call me Circe, remember” she said the words slowly being enunciated one word at a time as she spoke to me leaning down a bit as she stared at me in dugust.

The Golden Blood Project

The Golden Blood Project

I headed towards the older woman. "Thanks for this, what's your name," I asked her as I lifted the handkerchief and smiled when she said,"I'm Circe and a Meliae or Ash tree nymph, dear. They caught me in Yellowstone, damn humans." I was smiling and told her I was one of those damn humans recently and she nodded.

"The how does not matter. Just leave, so I might erect the house defenses." Despite the fact that her feet didn't move, Toni and the guys found themselves standing by the front door. Circe had followed them, her milky-white orbs glowing with a blue radiance that highlighted her statically charged, floating hair. "Thank you for the refreshments," Marc said as he yanked on the knob. A tiny smile crossed Circe's lips. "Thank you for your courtesy, sir wolf. It's nice to finally meet a Lycan with manners. You may call on me again."

Dawlya’s Dragon

Dawlya’s Dragon

“Avi? Avi what is it?” She pressed a hand to her temple. The whisper wasn’t loud, but it was clear. A name. Spoken in the Circle’s many-layered voice. Ancient. Certain. Pulling at her like a hook beneath her ribs. “Sereth.” Avi gasped. “Cain… it’s saying a name.” Cain’s expression sharpened. “The Circle?” She nodded. “What name?” She swallowed hard, throat tight. “Sereth.” Cain went still. Completely. Utterly. Still.
