Unknown to Lily, Clark was still linked to some other illegal underground businesses that the public was totally oblivious to. Clark had earlier called Lily to tell her that he would have the surgery very soon and that he had raised the money for it. The sunlight filtered through the cracks of the curtains in Clark’s room inside the cardiac care unit of John Hopkins hospital. Lily was on her way to work, so she stopped by the hospital to bring breakfast to her dad. She placed the plate of food on the bed table and opened it up before sitting on the chair beside him.
