The book is the first-person account of a young biracial Mexican and African American woman, Evelyn Rosalyn Amiss. She repeatedly transports in time between her home in Texas and then Newark, New Jersey to different time periods. She meets and helps some of her ancestors along the way. This is my first journey into a fantasy, time travel novel. I hope you stick around for each riveting, historical and spicy page turner. This is a work of fiction. While accompanying my husband, Austin Lockhart, to his class reunion, we run into his true love, Leticia Gomez. After the gathering, Austin learns that Leticia's been having a tough time. He corners her against a wall and says, "How much do you still owe? Be with me, and I'll give you a hundred grand a month. Is that enough?" I stand quietly at the street corner, capturing their touching reunion on camera. Then, I send the photos to my lawyer. I also forward them to Austin with a simple message. "Since you two are so in love, why not go ahead and marry her?"

When I joined my pregnant wife at her class reunion, I heard the thoughts of her male bestie. 'Once she kicks her bum husband to the curb, the money's all mine!' He was snuggling up to my wife, raising his glass in salutations with a perfect smile, but I still caught the flicker of disgust in his eyes. 'Stupid sow thinks I'm in love with her? Who would care about her if it weren't for her money?' He had no idea that Mary's family had gone bankrupt long ago, and her life of luxury now was all thanks to me!

This book contains a few people's points of view. (POV) Which makes the book a little... let's say more dimensional. The main story is about Lilith Taylor being in the wrong place at the wrong time, although it was planned out. She witnesses some gruesome scenes done by Arthur Mikhailov but soon realizes that the one bringing this upon her is the only one who can take it away. The book is filled with mysterious characters and events to keep the reader guessing throughout. Never a too dull moment. Give it a try guys. You never know who will betray you next...

This is the story where our main characters beautifully draw the affair with little romance. Jasper is getting rejected by his crush. Accidentally he found out his crush is an Alpha.
