Every other student could hear the inner thoughts of Chloe Yates, the campus belle. It was like a radio station was broadcasting her mind, and unfortunately for me, the broadcast was usually bad news. It started during the ROTC courses in our freshman year. I was doubled over with terrible period cramps and asked to sit out. Chloe just shook her head, letting out a dramatic, pitying sigh. "Oh, this is awful," her internal voice broadcast to everyone. "Should I tell everyone the truth? Sylvie is totally faking it. If the sergeant finds out she's lying, he's going to punish the whole class because of her." The sergeant, hearing her thoughts, immediately assumed I was a liar. He forced the entire class to run 30 laps as punishment. After that, no one would talk to me. Later, when I applied for the need-based financial aid grant, Chloe went on a rampage with her internal thoughts. "Her family isn't poor!" her voice screamed in everyone's heads. "They have a car and a house. She's just vain. She's trying to scam the college out of grant money so she can buy a new phone. I feel so bad for the actual poor kid whose spot she's stealing." Once the class heard that, they silently agreed to vote against my application. Without that money, I had no choice but to work three part-time jobs just to survive. I worked myself into the ground until I finally gave out. I collapsed in the classroom while clutching my chest, suffering a massive heart attack. I cried out, begging my classmates to call 911. However, Chloe's voice cut through the air right then. "She doesn't have a heart condition. She's pregnant. She's trying to trick a guy into taking her to the hospital so she can get an abortion, and then she's going to frame whoever helps her for getting her knocked up." Terrified of being blamed, the students backed away from me like I was radioactive. They stood there and watched as I died on the classroom floor. Right up until the moment I died, I never understood why my life had turned into such a nightmare. However, when I snapped my eyes open, I had returned to the day of the ROTC courses. The cramps were back, and the sun was beating down on me. Chloe did not know one crucial detail. This time, I could hear her thoughts too.

Bonds at War: The Untouched is Mine

Bonds at War: The Untouched is Mine

I always thought getting accepted into Elite Order Academy would finally make my family proud. Perhaps then they would stop controlling my every move. Maybe my brothers would stop resenting me. Perhaps I wouldn’t feel so invisible anymore. No one believed I could do it—not even my mate, Alpha Jaxon Trevane. The night I planned to tell him... I found him tangled in bed with my best friend. Heartbroken and humiliated, I left everything behind and went to Elite alone. But the academy isn’t the fairytale I dreamed about. Beneath the grand halls and traditions, a brutal game is being played. The four ruling Alphas of the North, South, East, and West fight for power, dominance... and now, for me. A virgin. Untouched. Unclaimed. The prize they all want. There’s the mate who shattered my heart and swears he’ll win me back. The brilliant strategist who wants me as his Luna. The dangerous playboy who promises no one will ever touch me but him. And the cold, possessive Alpha who watches from the shadows—and would destroy anyone who dares to take me from him. But in a place where love is a battlefield and lust is a weapon, falling in love might be the most dangerous thing I ever do. Welcome to Elite Order Academy—where every desire has a price, and my body is the ultimate trophy.

Unique story line, well written and very intriguing. Far better than a lot of other stories on here. I love a strong heroine, I love her even more considering she has managed to become a person who note only can stand up for herself and others but also isn’t afraid to accept help.

Does anyone know if this story has a reverse harem? I’m not into that and it doesn’t have the tag in the description but it’s so many guys pinning for her attention that I would y be surprised if it goes that route later. I’m assuming the story isn’t far along enough for anyone to know tho

love this book...the way the writer builds up the characters most especially the ML..but i was wondering why would the ML have to endure such humiliations from his inlaws when he could just show them his real 'him' as well and the enormous power that he holds considering the status of his family...w

Spell And Kill (Taglish)

Don Thyro Lamion
"Our heart beats only with their permission." For as long as she can remember, the bookworm Synecdoche Rochet, 23, has lived a simple life in Maharlika Nation—hiding in the grasses and grains of District G to avoid the terrifying power of the Embassy and its ruthless Ambassador. In a dytopian world that is controlled and opressed, Synecdoche Rochet embarks on a mission to get back their rights on their district's valuable resources—the grains. When she discovered her intellectual ability, she found herself drawn to the charismatic Giovanni, the long-lost Ambassador's previleged son together with other intelligent students, Ulap, Token and Keithwarth. They found themselves being the tributes on the 2nd Maharlika Spelling TwistBee—trapped in the Word Arena. An annually commemorated survival game where each district will represent 1 letter in the Alphabet, spell the given English words not verbally, but by brutal killings of other competitors who have letter tattoos on their arms. The rules are to Spell and Kill. Within the killer's reach, the team-up of Synecdoche, Giovanni, Ulap, Token and Keithwarth isn't a coincidence, it's a conspiracy. What if Synecdoche's age will be reversed? Will they use their intelligence for vengeance? Will they compel love and trust to survive the battle royale? Is their life the price or the prize? "Even the shortest word has the longest meaning. Spell the words and kill with swords!"

Babysitting the Mafia Princess

Babysitting the Mafia Princess

Sky Foster has survived plenty of things: family drama, high heels on marble floors, and growing up in a Mafia dynasty. But nothing could prepare her for someone babysitting her. Or rather, that's what it feels like when her family assigns her a bodyguard. Charlie Vale is tall, infuriatingly calm, and works for her family with the kind of deadly efficiency that makes people squirm. Especially her. He's there every day at school, in the hallways, outside her classroom, always watching, always quiet, always ruining her chances at even pretending to be a normal teenager. Charlie doesn't believe in distractions, and Sky just wants to have fun. Guarding the boss's niece should be simple: keep her safe, keep his distance, and keep his job. But Sky has a bad habit of finding trouble, and Charlie has a worse habit of following her straight into it. When a threat from the Foster family's past resurfaces, Sky becomes the target. Forced into close quarters, sparks fly and rules break as Sky begins to see the man behind the stoic guard. And Charlie? He discovers that babysitting the Mafia princess might just be the most dangerous job of his life.
