I whispered and she smiled but suddenly it disappeared like she had just recalled something. “I hope the lives of those who always get lost are reduced from now.” this piqued my interest. The pack doesn't seem to be the one that fights for territory or even, always thinks of fighting their rivals. “Why did you say that?” I was not able to mask my curiosity. “Sir Maverick might not have told you, but this pack is filled with creatures who are known as Rogues from their real pack,” my eyes widened at these. I have always wondered why they never called him Alpha and just used the title ‘Sir’

He says and I smile, nodding my head as Hades leans over the rail. The rogues outnumber both Venom Fang and Dark Moon. The rogues live in peace and they have rights, like the packs do. They just prefer to live off the land. Some call them savages, but they aren’t. They are nomads. They created their own pack many years ago. However, they still hold the title of rogue. “Very well. Thank you for coming all this way to deliver this message. Please rest and eat before you head back.” Carter says to him, and I smile up at my mate. He will be just fine at ruling over them. That I am certain of.

“They’ll come for you, Lily. You can’t outrun them forever,” I peered out of the window, studying the Rogues chasing after me. A chill ran down my spine as it dawned on me the real identity of these rogue wolves. They weren’t random rogues out for an easy meal – they had small cuts on the left side of their ears… they were known as “The Crawler”.

“And of course, you don’t want to mark me because you don’t want to take your throne back.” “I don’t know what I want to do yet. I have no support. No army. It’s not that easy.” “What about these rogues Monty spoke about? What is a rogue anyway?” “A rogue is a packless wolf. It’s not that easy. Rogues aren’t warriors. By the time I have them trained and ready for a war, Caspian would know and we’d all be dead. Well, not you and me…we’d only wish we were dead.”

The Rogue remained quiet after that, and we stood side by side. I decided to break the silence when it became too much. "What does the Pack Alpha need you for?" Surprisingly, my question made the Rogue smile. The gesture looked odd on his sharp face but lightened his severe features. There was a spark in his grey eyes as he looked down on me. "What's your name?" I furrowed my brows as I stared back at him. "W-what...? I asked you first." "You can call me Lance," he answered, ignoring my protest. "If you tell me your name, maybe I'll tell you why I'm here."

he sighed, “Well, they were criminals…” I mumbled, “Rogues, darlings are not always criminals. My parents were rogue vampires for a while. A rogue is a person who is not in a pack or into society; it does not mean they committed a crime,” he sighed, and I squinted my eyebrows. “Are any of those guys the case?” I asked, and he took a deep breath. “No, two of them attacked a pack and killed several warriors, and the other one robbed a shop and killed the owner,” he said, and I took a deep breath.

A Rogue. A Rogue is a werewolf without a pack. They often kill any werewolf they encounter; may it be a member of a pack or a similar rogue, like them. They are vicious plunderers. And that same vicious plunderer is right in front of me, deviously smiling. “Others cannot dodge my attack so easily like that. You’re quite good, pup.” He praised me, but I don’t feel good that he did so at all. I’m scared. “W-who are you, Mister?” I tried to sound brave, but aside from stuttering, my voice also cracked.

The other wolves that I had spotted during my scan remained hidden, probably waiting for a signal before they stepped out. The rogue chuckled, a low, mocking sound that grated on my nerves. "You can call me Shade. The Rogue Alpha, as they like to say." The gall of this guy. I thought to myself wondering about the amount of boldness mixed with craziness he had to have to call himself the Rogue Alpha.

he said, “But this is the Malchian Grove. My home, my territory. You play by my rules only.” I puckered my lips, my eyes going all puppy. “Awwn, poor Mr. Beasty wants respect. “ Then, almost immediately, my tone became caustic. “Well, maybe you should have thought about it before abducting me. I’m never gonna play by your rules. Mark my words.” “It's Mr. Roberto-Macini. Matteo Roberto-Macini,” he said and I rolled my eyes. “You will have to, Miss. Your survival depends on your cooperation.”

The head rogue asks me. Holding up a single finger, I signal for them to wait until I can compose myself. Once the laughter dies down in my chest I straighten myself back up and look at the massive rogue standing before me. He, just like the other nine rogues, has a confused look on his face. "It is just his name," I gasp out between the breaths that I am using to control my laughter. "I just assumed that he would have a more intimidating name. Like Blade or Killer... But Joffrey? That couldn't be less intimidating."
