“More!” Darren instructed as beta Damien whipped my back, while I kept smiling, I had been too broken to even know when to smile or laugh.

Knowing my smile keeps infuriating him makes me feel relaxed and accomplished, I want to see him flare up. That is my joy.

“Please stop, she has lost too much blood,” My sister cried in pain watching how Darren and his beta tortured me.

Darren kicked her out of his way, making her head hit the rod close to her.

“Ivy,” I called in shock as my whole body reacted with the pain she just felt, and that was the greatest mistake I had ever made.

Darren now understands what could make me feel devastated. ‘My twin sister,’

He strolled towards where she was lying almost lifeless, picking her weak body up and wringing her neck.

“Let go of my sister,” I yelped weakly and tried crawling toward them, but Damien kicked me on my chin making me fall backward.

“You stupid smut dared to kill my child before he was born,” Darren groaned as I felt the pain tighten on my neck.

Weakly on the floor, I watch my sister struggle to breathe, she has always been weak to defend herself and that is my greatest weakness.

“Let.. her go,” I whispered and he released her, making her weak body fall to the ground.

I forced myself up and crawled toward her, as she tried to grasp for her breath.

“Ivy, look at me,” I pleaded. She is the only reason why I am still holding onto hope, I can't lose her.

Her breath became shallow and her face was turning pale.

“Please,” I whispered with tears clouding my eyes.

I felt my leg being dragged from her almost lifeless body, as I held on to her tightly, Darren kept throwing kicks at me but my grasp on her body was still tight.

Until I felt another kick in my abdomen I could not bear the pain and let her go.

Darren burst into loud evil laughter as I struggled to gasp for air.

It was too painful for me to even stand up, my eyes were becoming dizzy and it was like my body wasn't responding to me any longer.

It has also chosen to betray me since I chose to abandon it first.

With my blurred gaze, I watched how he hanged my sister on the fire furnace.

“You Killed what belonged to me, so I will take what belongs to you,” He groaned with a pain-filled tone.

“It's my body, it's my choice, it's my life, I choose not to birth your child because you aren't worth it,” I groaned, blood slid down my legs and it hurt like crazy.

“Stay here and watch your sister drip in her sweat, I hope you can save her this time.”

I sucked in deep breaths trying to get my blurry haze cleared but was of no use.

“Ivy forgive your insensible sister for she has failed you many times and still did so today,” I grunted in pain.

I watched Darren and Damien walk out of the room and lock the iron gate.

“Ivy,” I called again, my voice was too low but I wasn’t ready to give up any time.

“Ha… Haz.” I heard her weak voice call back, but that voice gave me the strength I never thought I could get.

I crawled toward the furnace and held onto the hot iron trying to climb it, so I could release her.

“Hazel stop please, you are going to kill yourself.” she cried out.

“I won't give in, I will avenge their death, I will never give in.” I kept muttering to myself, the heat of the furnace burning my palm.

“Only if you don’t die will we be able to avenge Mum and Dad, please stop destroying your body, one of us has to live.”

Ivy cried out my hands shook terribly, I knew my body would take it my wolf might be dead but it would still take more torture, I just had to save her.

“Mum, Pops… save us please it hurts like hell,” I finally pleaded in agony.

“I can't take it anymore.” I groaned as I fell to the ground once more.

“Maddox you shall pain for all the pain you cause my family,” I thought in my head as the happy times came flying back into my thought like yesterday

FLASHBACK

"Both of my princesses look so beautiful," My dad complimented me and Ivy as we twirled in our beautiful royal blue gown with my beautiful tiara held in my hand.

"I got my beauty from you dada," I had replied giggling after twirling and I rushed into his arms.

Even if he is an Alpha he takes care of us so well he is a very nice and warm man. He smiles a lot, and always gets us both anything we need.

"No, you got your beauty and character from an important someone I know." He replied smiling, as my mum smacked his back.

"Dada, you promise to get me something important on my tenth birthday, since I am now grown up." I reminded my dad still giggling.

"Yeah my baby, but you being ten doesn't mean you are now a grown-up," My dad replied with a small frown on his face.

He always gets scared anytime I say that, he would always tell me I am his baby and not a grown-up.

My twin sister is the shy type, and wouldn't talk much while I am the opposite.

"I am a grown-up dada," I grumbled folding my hands against my chest with a pouty lip.

"Alright baby," my dad said and brought out two very beautiful medallions from his pocket. I gasped seeing how beautiful it was.

He turned my back to face him as he placed it on my neck, then twirled me back to face him.

He also handed the second one to my mum so she could help Ivy with it.

"This is the important thing I am giving to you both today," He whispered as he watched every move I made.

"Dada, it is beautiful," I murmured, touching the medallion dreamily, already thinking how I would slap it on Valentina's face.

"Does my princess love it so much?" My dad asked with an accomplished expression.

"Yes dada," I replied, dad pulled me back embracing me tightly, he extended his hands for my sister and she rushed in also.

“Alpha the pack has been invaded by the Lycans...” My dad then raised his hands to stop Uncle Rick from saying further.

My mum quickly pulled the both of us from father's hold and embraced us tightly.

“Mama, what is going on?” I asked her but she shook her head still holding us tightly.

My dad stood up and sighed loudly, “Hazel, you and your sister must never leave this room, cover your ears tightly, we want to have a shout-out and I don't want it to hurt my princess's hearing."

My dad said again if only I had known what exactly he was going through then if only I knew how hard he was suppressing his pain so I wouldn't see it.

"Promise Dada," I raised my pinky fingers to show I wouldn't disrespect him.

"That's my princess," he said and stood now staring down at me and Ivy, then he winked at us and sauntered toward the door.

He glanced at us one more time making me smile thinking he was looking if I would play any kind of trick.

"I love you both, we both love you dearest," he said as he walked outside, my mum also placed a kiss on our heads.

“Do what your father asked you to do, okay? Protect your sister no matter what,” my mum emphasized.

“I love you both, and I want you to know I will always stay to protect you.” my mum said again and after one last hug she also left us there confused.

“Let's go there, and cover our ears,” I told Ivy who nodded her head and we did as we were told.

“Hazel it's been a while now let's go look for Mum and Dad,” Ivy removed my hands from my ears as she said.

I also thought about that because it was already dark, “Stay here I will go look for them,” I told her and left the room.

I was met with the shock of my life. Blood was splattered all over the ground, so scared I began calling my mum and dad, but no one was answering. All I heard was the echo of my voice.

Terrified, I ran downstairs only to be met with my mum lying on the ground with her eyes open and her body filled with torn flesh.

I ran toward her shaking her badly to open her eyes but her body was cold as ice, and a list of warriors was on the ground lying dead on the ground.

I was still in shock and my heart thumped hard, “Papa,” I called in shock as thunderstruck, and there my father's head was hung also with his eyes open staring deep into my soul.

PRESENT

The iron gate opened and then an Omega walked inside along with some other ladies.

“Oh my goodness Ivy you lost so much blood,” Willow, the only Omega still close to us cried out.

“Save my sister,” I groaned.

“She has been safe, Alpha Darren will take it easy on you for some days because the king of the Lycans Alpha Maddox is on his way to our pack.”

“What?” I bemoaned.

“Yes, the famous Alpha Maddox is coming to our pack and Alpha Darren has ordered us to release you so the Lycan king doesn't find anything in attacking him.”

I balled my fist in furry hearing that name again, the one who caused my pain was finally coming here.

“I must live to see the end of him,” I thought, summoning my strength to heal up.
