chapter one Shocking news Hazel's Pov It's incredible how fast the night changes, one moment, I am drinking champagne with my colleagues, waiting for the new boss to be introduced. “I want to make a phone call.” Lucien instantly let out a cold laugh. “Playing mysterious again?” “You seriously think you’re leaving this place alive?” Don gave him a single indifferent glance. Lucien shut up instantly. A few minutes later. I walked back into the casino. And sat back down at the table. “Open the cards.” The dealer slowly revealed them. My breathing gradually stopped. Chapter 8 I opened my eyes to see him lying next to me. I took a deep breath in remembering the way he made me feel last night.
