/Alora/ A ripple of tension spread through the great hall under the sunlight which entered through its tall arched windows as the morning gained strength. Both SilverClaw and Night Terrors wolves took up residence in the space their faces showed a mix of fear and curiosity. Everyone who came was expecting to see more than just a court case because it was the time of judgment. As I walked toward the middle of the hall, each step became heavier as I thought about the fights I had been in before, the painful deaths I had suffered, and the choices I had made that had led me to this point.

Above, the muffled clash of Selene’s diversion rose like thunder. Kaelan’s voice was urgent. “Just a few more paces, then we breach the Hall beneath the dais.” Ryker braced himself. “Lead on, Queen of Ash.” As they reached the top step, the stone floor opened into a circular hall directly beneath the throne room. Iron grates lay half‑open on the floor above. Through the bars, they could see dancing torchlight and the sheen of silver steel. Nyra exhaled, raising her sword. “For our kingdom.”

“Yes. I’m learning.” Kieran pushed off the wall and came to the table, dropping a newly stolen floor plan onto it. “The auction hall is on Level One of the Tribunal complex,” he said. “Same building as the benefit, different configuration. Main entry here, ticketed donors. Staff access here and here. Service corridors all along the back. Evaluation prep rooms labeled as “security suites” on paper.” He traced lines with his finger. “There are three doors marked evaluation. Two are “asset intake.” One is “extended review.””

I knew someone wanted me gone, and this was their perfect chance they've waited so long for. I lifted my head, glaring at the lead warden as they shoved me forward again. “Tell me,” I said through gritted teeth, “who ordered this?” He didn’t answer. The Sanctum of Weighing was colder than I remembered when we arrived. The massive stone pillars stretched toward the ceiling like the arms of judgment itself, carved with runes older than Woodhound’s founding. At the center of the hall was the Circle of Truth, a raised dais surrounded by glowing sigils, pulsing faintly with bluish light.

Down the length of the hallway, two armor clad guards pushed open a door of crimson, with darkened steel riveted into its core. A cold rush of air met them. Inside, a wide chamber of black stone and red sigils carved into the floor greeted him: THE PURGATORY. Lucifer once put it there and once spoke to them as a warning, that the Council should not betray him or this realm. "A place where truth is naked, and the lie screams to its death." The room did not breathe or stir, yet it was nonetheless choking. Gluttony tugged Kaelen slightly behind him by reflex, planting his body like a wall between the stranger and the council. The other Sins shared a look equal parts annoyance and fascination.

"She's been dead for five years! Meanwhile, the bastard who defiled purebloods has been living free for five years!" The guards dragged me toward the cave entrance. My bare feet scraped against the rough stone, leaving bloody trails. "Today I'll use the Soul Vision Device," Damien continued, his voice rising with each word. "I'll see exactly who you've been protecting all these years!" The moon was full and bright overhead. Its silver light illuminated the packed village square below. Every werewolf in Grell had gathered for this moment. They formed a perfect circle around the ancient judgment platform. Their eyes gleamed with bloodlust and anticipation.

"By then, losing your job will be the least of your worries. If you lose your life, don't say I didn't warn you." I looked at her calmly. "If you're finished, you should leave. No matter what you do, the outcome won't change." "Florence" let out a cold snort. "Since you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences!" Vanessa fixed me with an icy stare. "Judge Hart, I hope you'll still be this confident in the days ahead."

Molten crimson light flowed through the countless cracks crossing his ancient armor, giving the impression that fire burned beneath the stone instead of blood. "So this is the Hall of Echoes?" I asked. The giant lowered his head slightly. "No." The single word echoed across the empty landscape. "This is the Threshold." I looked around again, unable to see anything beyond the endless horizon. "The Hall lies beyond this place." A knot tightened in my stomach. "If this isn't the Hall, why bring me here?" I asked, watching him rest both hands upon the head of his enormous war hammer. "Because no one enters the Hall without first proving they are worthy."

Marcel's POV The atmosphere in the Judgment Circle was thick with tension. The place was called so because it was the venue for making drastic judgments, such as the one to be passed out today. The vast open space at the heart of the pack's territory was lined with towering stone pillars, each etched with ancient runes that spoke of battles fought, sacrifices made, and, most importantly, laws upheld. Today, it would witness a crime that could never be forgiven .
