Swiftly wrapping my chain around me, I ran forward, grabbing one of their bows and four arrows. With that same speed, I ran up a tree, quickly stringing the bow and aiming at the two still in sight. Releasing the arrows, I watched them cut through the air before piercing one in his back and the girl, her neck. Deciding to let the other two be, I jumped down from the tree, ignoring the pain in my thigh.

ᴀᴍᴇʟɪᴀ's ᴘᴏᴠ: "Where the fuck is it" I groan out, searching his other pocket. I notice a pair of keys with a key chain. Picking it up, I examine to see the gun chain, having an opening in a corner. I search once again making sure it's the correct one. Just then Hunter barges into the room, panting. "We need to leave. Now" he says looking at Cassano's unconscious body in horror.

The hunters knew that they were getting close. They crept forward, their weapons at the ready, until they caught sight of Tate standing in a clearing, his massive form silhouetted against the moonlit sky. Without hesitation, the hunters opened fire, their silver bullets ripping through the air and striking Tate with deadly force. Tate came to realize at that moment that he had been on a bad path for so long and barely escaped from the hunters. He went back home to his brother, and Marcus gladly allowed him take back his place knowing that he really had changed.

Then a sound echoed behind us. A single metallic snap. Every hair on my body stood upright. I knew that sound. A chain breaking. Not one of the thousands. The First Chain. The chain from the vision. The chain the jailer had sent us to find. It had broken. The silver path flickered. Renn stopped running. Slowly turning around. His face had gone completely white. "No." The word barely escaped him. I looked back. Far behind us, above the dying city, the jailer stood motionless.

At the end of the trials, the four new hunters were finally announced, and Rainn was happy that he was one of them. The mentors came out and headed over to each of the four new members of the Vindicta. Ard'al, of course, was Rainn's mentor and he couldn't have been prouder of the man that Rainn had become, even if he was worried about the next part.
