Davien’s P.O.V Donovan Griffins and I had been friends for as long as I could remember. I cannot exactly recall how we got about to befriending each other, but let’s just say that man had been the persistent one since day one. Another full day had already passed since Andrew had left Chetvine. "Alright, time's up." Inside the Lloyd family base, Donovan slowly opened his eyes as he rose from his chair. He was already 80, and although his martial skills had long stopped advancing, the sharp light in his gaze was still intimidating.

" I braced myself. "You were trouble," Donovan said curtly. "You and your team. You were pushing too hard, intruding where you didn't belong. The Cullen family had secrets, and you were just so set on finding them out. I couldn't have that. So I did what I do best—I eliminated the trouble." My stomach twisted. "The blast," I whispered. "The ambush. Your teammates" Donovan shook his head, completely unflappable. "That was all on me. I thought it out, planned it, and made sure that when the smoke had cleared, your entire team was killed."

“I’ll do it.” After Sky’s voice fell, a person stepped out from the crowd. It was a middle-aged man who looked to be in his 40s. He wore a black suit and did not look like a martial artist. Instead, he had the appearance of a successful businessman. It was none other than Donovan. Donovan inherited Winston’s True Energy and had become an eighth-ranked grandmaster. He had been tormented since his one-sided defeat at the hands of Tobias. After Tobias died, he never found the chance to prove his strength or bring glory to the Blithes.

“He’s ten.” There was a knock at the door just before Donovan walked in. “Sorry. I’ll come back.” “Don’t worry.” Celt told his brother. “We’re just commiserating how stupid men are.” “Oh, damn, we dumb." Donovan said walking in and closing the door behind him. He smiled as he walked over to the desk. “Shit, you’re the Devil. I just binged some of your fights. Whoever the idiot is, beat the hell out of him.”

I answered him truthfully, and he mouthed an "oh, releasing me. "Alright then, can you do me a favor?" He asked, and I licked my bottom lip. "What is it?" I asked and he smiled. "Thank you for asking but I would like to know if you can stay as far away as possible from Michelle?" My lips parted in shock. "What? Why?" "Because you are trouble for him and not fit for him. You are the Bride or is it a mistress to the most feared Mafia Don in the world?" He replied and my blood turned cold.
