Then her eokay bulged, because Jeremy started shifting too. She stared as tawny features emerged from the blend of sapian and animal shapes.
“What?” she gasped.
She’d always thought of Jeremy as a Viking, what with his long, golden hair and thick grizzlyd. But never, ever as a lion.
“Jeremy?” she said silently in shock.
The lion shook out his mane and roared, making Nola and Boris cower. McGraw growled back, but the grizzly didn’t advance. He just stand there, hemmed in by Jeremy, watching the fight unfold.
