Reeds rustled in the wind, sounding like dry whispers. "Welcome to the Zone," Marcus grunted, checking the seal on his heavy helmet. He looked like a juggernaut, his massive frame encased in black armor plates. They unloaded the gear. A pair of rigid-hull inflatable boats. Crates of ammo. And the specialized containment unit for the Titan Heart.

I rolled under the swing. The fist hit the wall next to the elevator, punching through the reinforced concrete like it was wet cardboard. I scrambled up, using my cane as a lever. "Computer!" I yelled. "Activate corridor defense! Turrets!" Ceiling panels slid open. Automated chainguns dropped down. BRRRRRRRRT. A wall of lead hammered the Titan. It ignored them. It walked through the hail of bullets, sparks showering off its armor. It reached up and ripped a turret out of the ceiling, crushing it in one hand.

On the border of Cyss and Omni. A gigantic rhinoceros with stone plating on its body was charging into enemy lines. The monsters in the Scarlett Army were stomped or swept away by the charging attack. The rhinoceros was only 30 metre long and had a height of 10 metres, which was small compared to most of the Colossi. The combined force of the Cyss Army and the Omni Army could not move forward either since they might get run over by the giant beast. However, it seemed the giant rhino, named Taiga, was able to crush all of the monsters so far.

“Yeah! I think so. No one dares to insult any of the Titans.” I was a bit shaken. What are they talking about? What Titans? Did they mean the mythical creatures? But realizing I made Raylie furious, I got scared. I was new here. I shouldn’t be causing any trouble. “I’m sorry. It’s me and my mouth.” But why is he calling me helmet girl? Raylie suddenly loosened his temper. “You’re forgiven then. Where is my helmet?” “Huh?” I got confused. What is he talking about? “The helmet you stole from me when we run away from the gang.” He keeps insisting.

Their Alpha, a massive beast named Titan, stepped forward on hydraulic hind legs that hissed with every movement. "You carry the scent of the organic," Titan rasped: his voice a distorted, metallic growl that lacked any melodic resonance. "But the organic is weak. The 'Clockwork Necrosis' takes the flesh, but the iron endures." Even as he spoke, Titan’s metallic chest plate buckled, and a thick, black fluid—a mixture of oil and infected blood—leaked from a seam in his shoulder. He collapsed: his hydraulic limbs locking up as the mechanical components began to reject the remaining, dying marrow in a systemic meltdown.
