Colton was part of the underworld and believed the warning was given to him as a result of his contributions to the underworld. "That wench!" He cursed under his breath as he boarded a cab towards the outskirts of town, where he was to join a bus that left South City. He would lay low for some time and return when things were much settled. Colton could only think of one person who would want him dead and that was April. He couldn't deny he was taken off guard by how fast she moved to kill him. Unknown to him, he was walking into a trap. Colton got to the border as predicted. A sniper lay in the bushes, awaiting his arrival. Since Colton had a woman to take care of, Carter did not want anything happening to his cousin and was ready to sacrifice for him. “Behind you!” Juliet screamed again when Colton was about to make the switch with Carter. Colton pulled the trigger but it seems the owner of the gun had fired some shots so he ran out of bullets. The assailant fired the bullet before Colton reached and hit him with a gun, and the two men got entangled in a fight.

“You killed her goddamn father.” And as I spin around on my heels, I have a rather intimidating Glock that is in line with my head. Well, I did not see this one coming, yet one can say that it is rather deserved. So with eyes that are nothing but raging with fire, the bearer of that gun speaks with a determined voice. “Now it is said, well the word out is that Colton Cruz, or should I say, Kole Venditti, has become a ruthless opponent to reckon with.” With one slight adjustment of the hand, it continues, “I, myself, would like to say ruthless killer, but then we all know Vic Stone, you would never have walked out there alive.”

Beta Eric pov. I hate that Colt forced me to come here. Even the team knows why he didn’t come. That it in fact didn’t have to do with business. the General Secretary bellowed. Mr. Colton pushed back from the dining table, his chair scraping against the floor. He rose, brows furrowed and strode toward the doorway. "What did I just hear?" he growled, his voice low and menacing. His eyes locked onto the man who had spoken, and his face darkened. In one swift motion, he snatched a gun from a nearby guard. The sound of the trigger echoed through the room as Mr Colton fired, the man's body crumpling to the ground.

Colten was the only one who stayed inside to help me placate the newborns. “Thank you for staying.” I told him. He smiled down at me and placed a small kiss on the top of my head. “You needed me more than I needed to go stake my claim.” He said. I laughed and then tears started to come out. “Colten. I messed up again.” I told him. He looked at me confusedly. “Did it have to do with Garrett?” He asked. I nodded my head and he sighed before running a hand through his hair.

The engine made a horrible grinding sound before dying completely on the empty highway. I coasted to the side of the road, heart sinking as darkness surrounded me. It was well past midnight, and my phone had no signal. “Great. Just great,” I muttered, gripping the steering wheel. Headlights appeared behind me a few minutes later. A tow truck pulled up, and a tall, muscular man stepped out. Colt, according to the name stitched on his greasy work shirt. He looked like pure trouble, 32, broad shoulders, strong arms covered in tattoos and engine grease, stubble on his sharp jaw.

-Take cover! -Colton rushed towards me, shielding himself. There was a lot of commotion, there was shouting. There was a moment when the rafts stopped. -Colton! -I heard someone's voice. I knew that voice. "Until I finally get my revenge on you! -It was Darren. I looked over Colton's shoulder as Darren climbed into the ring. He was the one with the gun. And now something dawned on me: he was the one who killed Andy, he was the one who said things about Colton to La Cobra. The question was why.
