I fired bursts into the advancing wave, forcing back three attackers. "I’m rerouting their targeting systems!" Kyle shouted, his fingers flying across his wrist console. "Just... hold them off!"

Her cry, a rallying call, resonated throughout the battlefield. The enemy’s counterforce, now alerted to the defenders’ resilience, surged forward with renewed vigor. They could tell his was mind linking with his warriors. When his eyes refocused, he looked at Zach. “We’re done. My warriors are packing up and returning home. You are going to fight your own battle.” Zach flashed a toothy grin at Justin. “We have plenty of help from Hoh pack. We don’t need you, and if you want help with your territory dispute, don’t come crawling to us.” Duncan looked at Justin. “What territory dispute?”

Within a minute there was a huge circle made, as if anticipating the upcoming battle. Stood in the centre was Alpha Wicknace, Jimmy and Julien. Jimmy was wielding a huge axe. My eyes flitted to Selene to confirm she was unhurt. Apart from looking pale and cold she was uninjured. Good. Now to focus on killing those who put in this situation.
