“Wow,” he said, looking up. The house lit up in yellow and white lights.
“Yeah,” I said softly. “I don’t like coming home to a dark house, so all the lights turn on when I enter the property. It’s safer for me too, considering I live alone.”
“I think it fits you,” he answered, looking down at me. I gave a smile.
“I love my home,” I said. “It’s the place I can be myself.” I didn’t mean to say that last part. Maybe I really was tired and that’s why I had a loose tongue. Enough talking, let's get to drinking.
