Romans & histoires Commander Wolffe

"You should have stayed in command." Davis glances at Claude, and both quickly look from me to Henderson, who keeps a stern face, as if focused solely on the mission ahead. He is in command of the mission, and that’s how it’s going to stay even though he knows most of those present would have chosen me. I don’t care about that. I just want to move forward and complete the mission. After that, I can spend a month at home. I miss my mother and my younger brother.

The commander dismounted, he removed his helmet, revealing a stern man perhaps in his early forties with streaks of silver through his dark hair. His sharp eyes swept over the three of us. “You fought well.” None of us answered immediately. He looked at our camp and then back at us. “You aren’t from this territory.” It wasn’t a question. Caelum stepped forward cautiously. “No.” The commander nodded once.n“I thought as much.” He glanced toward the forest where the wolves had disappeared “You’re fortunate.” Aria frowned.“Fortunate?” He looked back at us, his expression unreadable. “Those weren’t ordinary wild wolves.”

Not yet. The warriors shifted uneasily but began backing away from the border. One figure stepped forward from their line. A broad-shouldered wolf with silver streaking his dark hair. Commander Jared. He crossed the line of warriors but stopped a few feet from Decker. “Alpha,” he said quietly. Decker met his gaze. “Commander.” Jared’s eyes moved briefly toward the Edgewater Falls warriors behind Decker. “And the enemy?” Decker’s voice remained calm. “They are not the enemy tonight.”

"How dare you threaten someone in the presence of the Law Enforcement Team? Take him away!" At that moment, Alistair stepped in front of Felix. "What evidence do you have for taking him away?" Hezekiah glared at Alistair in annoyance and asked, "And who might you be? Do you understand the consequences of obstructing the operations of Medic's Haven?" "Alistair Hill, Commander of the Wolfie troops!" Hearing the name Wolfie troops, Hezekiah's expression softened considerably. "Ah, Captain Hill! Given your position, you should know that Medic's Haven has the authority to handle certain matters unilaterally without external interference."

I’m going to have to find out more from Luther. The way Alpha Evan reacted this isn’t the first time Lexi’s wolf has come forward. “ Lexi’s wolf is powerful. I could sense it. I can’t wait to meet her. I bet my front paw she is as beautiful as Lexi.” Stone said. “ I agree with you there on both parts. I could feel the power coming from her. Those two will be unstoppable when they get their full powers.” I said. Luther encourages Lexi to eat her snack while Alpha Evan explains “ Lexi, I think Valerose found you and may be investigating you. Those men you met may be Valerose and his second in command or men he sent to check you out.”

Survivors. One stepped forward, tall, scarred, and dark-haired, with steel-gray eyes that burned like firelight. “I’m Commander Hartfell,” he said, his voice carrying. “These are our warriors.” He spread his arms wide. “We may not be the strongest in number, but we are strong in heart. And we will protect this land with our lives, Alpha.” Something inside me snapped free. The fear I’d carried all my life evaporated like smoke.

I said, escorting him out when the Gamma came in, bowing at our feet. “Dave,” my son called, drawing closer to him. “What’s the report?” he asked. Dave, the Gamma, he’s the head of Wolf Fall’s army, protecting and alerting the pack of any danger. Last night, there was an alert on the sighting of a notorious rogue we’ve been hunting down for long. And by we, I mean myself and Thelma. My son sees this rogue as one who works for our enemies, but I see that beast as my ticket to something important.

I followed the voice and saw Commander Rochwall striding toward us with Commander Jorn at his side. And with them were two large wooden carts covered with a dark cloth. Our Elite gear.

I was tasked with running the command center. I had Warriors coming in with updates. None of which involved finding our missing pack member. The head Epsilon's daughter being the missing girl was horrible. Normally, Roger would be here, running point and coordinating the search. But his daughter was missing. Alpha Zev had commanded him to stay in the packhouse with his mate. They were under orders to stay in their suite. Part of that was how angry and frantic Roger had been when he was here. Alpha Zev was concerned that if Roger caught any rogue he'd kill him on sight and thst wouldn't be helpful to finding Celia. Roger had also been snapping at Warriors and getting rough with younger recrui
