“I spent thirty years building a finished person. What I heard yesterday was a person mid-sentence.” Sera sat with that. At the particular grief of a child who had idealized a parent across decades of absence and then encountered them in raw, unfinished, human form. “He was mid-sentence,” she said. “That is exactly what he was. He was building something and he was stopped before he could complete it.” She looked at Vivienne. “But mid-sentence does not mean incomplete. It means interrupted. There is a difference.” She paused. “You finished his sentence. The case you built. The eighteen months of work. All of it.” She held Vivienne’s gaze. “You finished what he was saying.”

" He said. I was not ready for that. I was still getting use to the idea of being alone. I still need to heal. "My name Shunshine. I'm not really interested in getting to know anyone right now." But, I will ensure I Inform him of your call" I said, trying to reason with her. She let out a short laugh before responding "Listen to me miss or whatever your name is, If you want to keep your job then do as I say.. Foolish woman" she said rudely, raising her voice a little too high for my liking
