“How did I get in here? Where are my friends?” Markan raised one of his brows and placed his hands on his hips, looking confident in himself. “We saw you falling from the sky above and our gentle guy, Jackson, caught you before all the bones in your body shattered on the ground,” he answered with his gruff voice after he was done laughing like crazy. “But we didn’t see anyone other than you. You were alone when you fell,” Jasper looked at the sky smiling dreamily… and foolishly, “Yeah, you look like an angel falling with that purple sparkling stuff around you.”

The water was shimmering with many waves, and it seemed that someone had fallen into it. Connor's heart beat wildly. He took off his suit and plunged into the water. In the moonlight, Connor could see clearly in the water. He was shocked for a while when he recognized the drowning girl. Why was her? Skylar's hair was disheveled, and her face was pale. She closed her lips and eyes tightly and had a look with no hope of survival.

Cooper growl, annoyed with Jess’s shakes. “Oii! Who was the one who said that he wants to wake up earlier than the others to sit in a good spot to watch the sunrise? Come on! Everyone had already left you behind!” Jess shout at his ear. Before she wants to shout again, suddenly she feels someone was pushing her upside down. It's too sudden, it makes her heart beating louder. When she opened her eyes, she saw a strong arm just next to her shoulder. She moved her head to look up and saw a serious stranger handsome face in front of her.

Zack shouted loudly as he jumped toward Emily. Finally, Zack's arms managed to grab Emily and leap away to safety, preventing Connie from pouncing and causing her to stumble to the floor. "Damn it!" Connie hissed, still suspended in mid-air and nearly landing without any options left.

At that moment, when Berta's voice— the person Kenzo assigned to take care of Jess while she wasn't at the apartment—sounded terrifying as she delivered the news. Jess had fallen in the bathroom. Blood suddenly flowed from her thigh. Kenzo wanted to curse, but Berta's information interrupted him; she was cooking. Hearing the screams of pain, she immediately peeked into her employer's bathroom. "Sir, please come here quickly. Miss Jess fell. There's a lot of blood. I'm very scared," she said in a trembling voice.

Suddenly, Jayden’s voice roared from behind. “Emma—move!” I turned just as he sprinted toward us. But it was too late. The rock beneath our feet gave a sickening crack. Time slowed. Ever and I both looked down. The cliff’s edge splintered, breaking away. We fell. The world tilted, sky spinning above me. But then—Jayden’s arms. Strong, desperate. He caught me mid-fall, barely anchoring himself on solid ground as I dangled over the side. My hands gripped his forearms tightly, breath ragged.

With every step, I wobble, and teeter, side to side, because the wooden floors are angry with me. The carpet doesn’t want to be my friend, and I fell to the floor, getting glass into my arm, and I cried out. Everything goes dark and I know why it was some bad sugar. It was spiked. No wonder Seth was in such a rush to get me to my room.

Apparently the block that I was standing on collapsed the moment the drones shot at it. I slipped making my leap fall short and I hit the block instead. I stumbled onto the ground and grumbled. In front of me I saw a woman trip and a searchlight moved just in time to connect with her form. The lights turned red as a larger drone appeared and caught her in a metallic net.

Jessica kissed her forehead and lowered her toward the opening. "Throw her!" Romeo called, voice strained. "Now, Jess now!" Jessica released her. Aurora fell with a small cry and Romeo caught her, his breath audibly knocked out. "Jessica! Jump!" The shaft groaned again. A panel above her snapped free and dropped like a guillotine. Jessica didn't think. She jumped. Air whipped past her. Then strong arms wrapped around her waist, breaking her fall. Romeo set her down fast. "We need to keep going".

Jessica whispered. “What?” “Start tying bed sheets together.” She stood and crossed the room to press on the window with both hands. “I’ll work on getting this open.” “We’re on the fifteenth floor,” he reminded her. “So it will take a lot of sheets. Raid the supply closet.” She glanced at Trey. “You aren’t afraid of heights, are you?” Trey grinned and shook his head at her. “Good.” She looked down at the ground far below. “I’m not sure we can get enough sheets. That’s a loooooong way down. Maybe we should make a parachute instead. How do you feel about base jumping?”
