“You’re going to be the best dad, Tehilla and Camilla would have,” All those conversations kept pouring in as the blurry faces I saw became clear, I saw Adil turn to look at me with fear in his eyes and a loud screeching sound of a car colliding with a van and everything just going up in ruins, I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at Adil with dropped jaws as tears slid down my eyes, before I could say anything, my legs gave way and I fell to the ground.

With heels it was difficult but somehow I managed to turn my body and climb down the window while gripping the sheets. We were going down when we felt a sudden tug .I looked up . One of the tech team leapt from his chair and raced off. "I'm putting you on speaker, Jessa," I said into the phone again. Hitting the button, I moved back to everyone else. "What's going on?" Jessa blew out a breath. "Eden comes in. She's doing fine. Manages a smile or two. Starts talking. Then all of a sudden, she's freaking out. Screaming that the sky is falling. Listen to this." We all go silent as we wait for whatever it is. "I've got to get back to the living room. I underestimated the walk time, sorry," Jessa said softly.

I just know my whole body hurts from sitting on this freezing stone floor, the cuffs keep getting heavier somehow, and the place inside me where my power used to live… it’s just this raw, empty ache now. Across the sky panels, I see cracks forming. Each crack pulses in rhythm with the ache inside me. “You want exceptional?” he says softly. “Let’s escalate.” He lifts his hand. The city below freezes. Cars halt mid-motion. People suspended mid-step. Time isolates me. Then— The air tears open beside me. Dylan falls through it. Hard. He lands on one knee, breath ragged, eyes wild.
