Chapter Eighteen: Answers Will Be Given Phera POV: As I reached the end of the corridor, the double wooden doors that stood as the gateway to their office loomed larger with each step. Intricate carvings adorned the oak, forming a pattern of intertwined circles that seemed like a cosmic dance, representing our complicated connections. With a gentle push, the doors opened, revealing Axel, Damon, and Zane standing inside, their gazes locking onto me with a mixture of anticipation and relief.

I told her. “That sounds like fun. Let me change and I will be back.” she replied. She shut the door behind her as I hurried into my room. I linked the omegas to bring up some drinks and snacks as I quickly changed. I stripped grabbing a pair of sweatpants. I decided to forgo the shirt. I pulled them on as someone knocked on my door. I pulled it open taking the tray from the omega telling her thank you. I left the door open letting Aerian know it was okay to come on in. I heard her door open then close. I turned to see her standing there. For fuck's sake! She was wearing a pair of pajama shorts and a matching t-shirt. The shirt was tight enough for me to tell that she was not wearing a bra.

The reinforced iron door to my room twisted inward, kicked out of shape from the inside. A faint figure in a school uniform stepped through the warped doorway, carrying me in his arms. Ryan turned around. And in that instant, he saw the one thing he had always been most afraid of.

I headed inside for a cold drink. Zara’s room door was closed, which was unusual. Normally, it stood ajar, soft music drifting out. I paused, listening. Faint moans? No, couldn’t be. Zara didn’t date; she was always home alone. Curiosity overrode politeness. I turned the knob quietly and pushed the door open a crack. What I saw made me freeze. My jaw dropped.

The silver star in the distant sky suddenly flashed brightly. Then, without warning, it shot across the heavens like a falling comet. Not toward me. Not toward the Source. It flew directly toward the battlefield. Toward us. The tiny star stopped only a few feet away. Its silver light slowly unfolded into the shape of a door. An ancient door carved from crystal and moonlight. Words appeared across its surface in glowing silver letters. ONLY THE ONE WHO HAS NOTHING LEFT TO HIDE MAY ENTER. The door slowly creaked open by itself. Beyond it, there was only light.

Maybe I can help. “A door,” she answered, finally giving me a real response. “Or, rather, a symbol on one. Should look like a crescent moon inside of a double circle.” *‘I mean... aren’t crescent moons pretty commonly used as decoration in this world? What with your Goddess and the whole werewolf thing?’* “Ohhhh, okay, my bad. See, that’s on me. I mistakenly thought that you were actually interested in being useful for a second.” *‘Give it a rest already. At least tell me what’s behind the door.’*

Every cross, every door seemed to awaken a memory in it that harder its jaw muscles had it ground. “Here in the front,” he said suddenly and stopped standing in front of a massive, round armored door, to see the faded logo of the consortium: a stylized eye that was surrounded by lightning. “The Genetic Laboratory 4. Here they stabilized my code.” The door was wide open, blocked from a thick strand scorched polymer. Kael put his hands on the edge and pushed the tons heavy door with a grinding noise far enough that we could slip through.

Levi pondered briefly and asked. Connor smiled, got up, stood in front of the large French window. He said, “The current world structure is nothing more than the rules set by the strong. When you enter the door one day and become one of the strong, you’ll understand a lot more things. The door is not something you can touch now. There are too many powerful people inside, too many existences and mighty elites beyond your imagination. Generally, they don’t come out because the presence of these people can pose a threat to the world. Therefore, there’s an agreement made between the doors and the countries. Once every few years, they’ll come out and select some talents to study behind the doors,

I ordered him while tucking myself in bed. “Right ahead,” he said as he locked the door. “Thank you, you may go now. I will rest for the meantime,” I said and he immediately excused himself as he locked and shut the door. “Doom,” I uttered. He suddenly appeared near the glass door of the balcony. “Don’t worry much, it’s time,” he said. “What do you mean it’s time, Doom?” I asked in confusion. “Just wait for it, and sit back as an audience. That wolf will reveal its true form,” he replied in metaphors.

He gazed at the Cosmic Octagonal Nexus disk on the stone door as he delved deeper into his thoughts. After some careful observations, he realized some things. The 28 constellations, pointing north, south, east, and west represented the four majestic beasts, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise. However, the Azure Dragon of the east constellation was surrounded by stars from all directions, indicating a dire situation! Combined with the name "Dragon's Hill", it was evident that to open the stone door, they needed to resolve the crisis in the east constellation. Specifically, the Azure Dragon's predicament.
