“Please read and sign this.” He took the file from her hands, staring at her while unrolling it slowly. As his eyes turned down and scanned the title on the front page, a dark chuckle escaped his lips. His gaze shot back to her, searching her face for any hint of sarcasm or mockery but she stood there calmly and completely serious. The title read: Contract Marriage “Are you kidding me?” Damien’s voice was low and dangerous as his anger simmered just below the surface. The mere sight of the words made him feel as if a fire had been lit inside him and ready to burn the entire world to the ground.

Authors Note That's over So how was it, any good We are nearing the end of Contract Marriage but I can't seem to be able to let it go And now I am open to any questions about this book, like my inspiration and all Aurora has grown a lot from the first chapter and she will grow a lot in the years that will come and she will not stop growing. I might not have written it down since most of the book is in Aurora's POV but Nate has also grown, he won't be so quick to judge and is more sure of his feelings. Aurora and Andrea's relationship will hopefully be fixed to, the jealousy though harmless can hurt themselves.

she muttered. Connor chuckled. "Like I said, you’ll be married for three years. You’re not allowed to be in a relationship with anyone else during the duration of the marriage." He pushed a contract toward her. "Go through it thoroughly. Everything you’re expected to do is listed. If you have any conditions, let me know." He looked at me, who’d been quiet throughout, then back to her. "You’ll be paid a million dollars once the contract is signed, and the other million when the three years are completed."

They made it seem like I was just another gold digger, using Daniel for his money. I wanted to scream at the world that I was doing this for myself, that I wasn't some money-hungry woman. But I knew that I had to keep up appearances, at least until my debts were paid off. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, I couldn't help but wonder if this contract marriage was worth it. I couldn't deny the chemistry between us, but I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more beneath the surface, something that Daniel was hiding from me.

"So, you mean to say that even in a contract marriage, there's a chance for something real and meaningful?" Maria nodded again, her eyes filled with warmth. "Yes, Olivia. The path may be uncertain, but love has a way of blossoming in unexpected places. It's up to those involved to nurture it and let it grow." As Maria finished her story, Olivia felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. Perhaps, like Emily, there was a chance for her and Nathaniel to find their way through the complexities of their contract marriage. "You will be in it for the money. See him as a bank and the money he'd give you as a loan. He needs you for his own personal reasons and you need him. You're both using each other Lila, nothing is wrong with that." Lila shook her head at that. "Everything is wrong with it Ema." She said as he sat down on the couch. "I have dreamt of my marriage since I was a little girl. My husband would be madly in love with me and he'd be willing to worship the floor I walked on. And my children? I dreamt of having a lot of them. And some pets, a few dogs and a cat that would be the Queen of our house. A contract marriage is the complete opposite of that dream. Ema, I just can't."

I say, nervously biting my lips. “A contract marriage?” He says, I nod, “yes, a contract marriage between the two of us”. He smiles, “I understand what you’re trying to say, but why do you think I need to get into a contract marriage and if I did, why will it be with you?” He asks.

While she was saying all this, Ayla just kept looking. "Unfortunately, I heard you can't even get a job. That... is to remind you who the real boss is". Sasha said but now, it seemed like Ayla had had enough. Pushing her to the side, she locked her door and began walking away. "I'm getting married to Daniel!!" Sasha yelled and Ayla paused. Sasha smiled, thinking it had gotten to her but then, Ayla turned and moved a bit closer to her. "Congratulations". Ayla said in a really cold but calm tone and walked away.

"When did you get married? And who is she?" Her tone wasn't curious — it was accusatory. Like Adrian had committed some sort of crime. Almost the same way Gabby had reacted but she had done it lightly. Tiffany was just straight-up mean. I opened my mouth to respond, but Adrian gently squeezed my hand making me pause. "We got married recently," He said, a cutting edge to his voice. "And her name is Arabella" Tiffany scoffed. "Recently? Adrian, seriously? Since when did you start doing… spontaneous weddings with strangers?"
