The Great Godmother

The Great Godmother

My heels clicked sharply against the marble floor, the sound echoing through the grand hall. I stopped in front of James, lips curved slightly as I raised my glass toward him. “Don Hill, long time no see.” My voice wasn’t loud, but it carried clearly across the entire banquet hall. “Gerald Family from North Atlantis has come to visit.” “P-Pia?” James’s voice trembled uncontrollably. He reached out a hand toward me, as if trying to touch me and make sure I was real. However, Kane stepped forward, smoothly positioning himself between us, blocking James’s hand.

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

"Then... I'll have Keegan send me a few pictures of Sevin and forward them to you." "Ask him to take some close-ups, and don't try to fool me," said Cordelia. After Stella agreed to Cordelia's request, she ran downstairs, lured Sevin out with some bait, and took pictures of the fish with her phone. She waited a long time before sending the photos in order to appear that they were sent to her by Keegan. Cordelia was eating some grapes in her garden when she heard the phone ring. She asked Baldwin to pick it up and saw that it was photos of the koi. She then grabbed her reading glasses and said, "Zoom in the picture, Baldwin."

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now

What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming

Mary Redferne

Mary Redferne

Mary Redferne As the music throbbed and the chatter of the party filled the air, Judith and I found ourselves tucked away at the bar, indulging in some light-hearted gossip. We sipped on our drinks, occasionally rolling our eyes at the flashy displays of wealth around us—the flashy jewelry, the designer outfits, the pretentious conversations about stock portfolios and exotic vacations. Suddenly, Judith nudged me, her expression eager as she leaned in close. "Mary, there he is," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the din of the party. "Joshua just walked in. It's time to put first phase of our plan into action."

The Lycan King's Rejected Daughter

The Lycan King's Rejected Daughter

"You have been brought before us because of your crimes against the coven." "What times have I committed?" Cordelia says. "I am not a member of this coven." "Perhaps you have forgotten the deal we made," Endora says. "Your life in exchange for a child." "There was no child," Cordelia blatantly lies. "She died in childbirth." "Lies!" Endora screams. "We know there was a child." Cordelia rolls her shoulders back and holds her head high. "There is no child." Endora leans forward on the table in front of her and smiles evilly. "You will spend the rest of eternity in the void for your transgressions against the coven."

AN ANGEL FOR THE MAFIA

AN ANGEL FOR THE MAFIA

She felt like she had lost him forever. As David walked away, Cordelia thought of how her decision to work at the fainting goat is making her lose David. The thought of it made her stomach burn, but her decision to work there had been made already. Cordelia felt dirty and ashamed. But she had no other option. “If only Mr Smith picked the phone.” Cordelia sighed deeply, shaking her head. Cordelia’s phone rang, few minutes later. It was McKayla. “Hello Cordelia.” McKayla said.

The Cursed Alpha Bride

The Cursed Alpha Bride

She was wrapped in an exquisite sable coat, her silver-streaked hair swept up into a flawless, rigid chignon. "Mother," Draven growled, his arm instantly returning to my waist, his grip tighter than before. The ozone scent of his anger flared, heavy and warnings. "You were supposed to be at the western estate." "And leave my house to be systematically dismantled by a pack of northern wolves and a nameless orphan?" Cordia walked forward, her leather heels clicking with absolute authority against the stone steps. She didn't spare a glance for the broken porcelain or the tension bleeding into the snow. She stopped directly in front of Angelica, extending a manicured hand to help my stepsister u

My Husband Faked His Death, So I Married a Billionaire

My Husband Faked His Death, So I Married a Billionaire

Even if she wanted to go back, he would never forgive her. "Cordelia?" A gentle voice pulled her back from her memories. Only then did Cordelia realize the cab had stopped outside the research institute at some point. She pushed open the car door, and a man in a trench coat strode toward her. Surprise flashed in his eyes when he saw her. It was her senior colleague, Elias Ford. Their mentor, Warren Hayes, had only two final protégés: her and Elias. Cordelia lowered her eyes and instinctively avoided his gaze. "Elias."

SEAL Team Cord

SEAL Team Cord

Me, I get my ass spanked and half the time I'm the innocent one, just following behind them and their hair brained schemes. But does Cord see it that way? Hell no, according to him as long as he tells me not to do something that should be enough. He has no idea of the pressure I'm under to be a part of whatever it is they're building here, to fit in. How out of my element I am. So I go along most of the time so as not to be the odd man out, and ninety-five percent of the time my ass pays the price. As far as he's concerned, as long as Cord says it, it shall be so; he's so bossy.

MIDWICK

MIDWICK

Her voice was slightly shaky, then her eyes drifted to Sheila’s bed, “And I think you have a serious problem here.” My mind froze when I heard her name. Cordelia Blackwell was a well-known name in our world. Everyone knew her, they steered away from her, even witches. A dark witch for a mate. The thought made me erupt into laughter; I knew I must have looked like a mad man. The Mood Goddess really knew how to find my match. I shook my head, and after calming down I ambled towards her. I knew I was in her personal space, when she tried to step back slightly. Being this close to her, I could feel sparks between us, something was cackling.
