******** Cordelia was in the middle of a board pre-meeting when her private cell phone vibrated on the table beside her notepad. She glanced at the screen and read the name then picked it up without excusing herself because she did not excuse herself for things,people arranged themselves around her schedule, not the other way round. "One moment," she said to the three men across the table, who immediately began studying their own documents with great interest. She stepped into the adjoining room and closed the door. "Tell me," she said.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Then she looked up to Carlos who already knew what it meant. This was all about revenge. ~~~~ {Somewhere unknown} Cordelia stepped down from her helicopter, her short bobbed hair blowing wildly in the wind. She wore a mask to block the desert sand and goggles to shield her eyes from the harsh sun. With three guards behind her, she entered a massive rock formation with a tunnel beneath it. A place she had specially built for someone. Her heels clicked softly against the concrete. She removed her mask and goggles before reaching the gate ahead.

Lyon replies, smiling at his own joke. But Cordelia doesn't find it funny at all. She keeps peering at the papers, unable to believe what she is seeing. “Explain this Ryder,” Cordelia says, blinking repeatedly. Her tone suggesting what she read is unbelievable. “Well,” Lyon starts shifting in his chair, “there’s nothing shady about her career, she's clean in that aspect. But not so for her personal life. I wondered why a CEO of Wills caliber asked to look into her but it—”

I looked up at Miles who was still watching Cordelia go. “Is she your significant other?” I blurted the question without really thinking about it. “No, Cordelia is a human. She was hired as a house Nanny and a personal donor if Master Cadogen fancied a normal meal.” I cocked my head. “What does that mean? A personal donor?” Miles blew out a breath. “It Means that when Master Cadogen wants a meal of blood she is one of the women that he drinks from. It is a great honor to be a royal donor.” He was back to being the stickler for rules.

She never came out of her shrine, and not everyone in the Lycaon palace gets to see her, so the description they had of her were mostly assumptions. Cordelia was younger than I’d expected. Since she was several centuries old, I’d expected a very old, toothless woman. But she wasn’t toothless. Her hair was grey and very scanty that I could see some parts of her scalp if I looked very well, but her face carried a youthfulness that didn’t go with the grey hair on her head. Her eyes were clear as day, and her skin soft and flawless. She wasn’t skinny like the books said she was. On the contrary, Cordelia was chubby, with round cheeks and fat dropping from her arms.

I said, smiling at her, surprised at the cool that I was maintaining. No matter what I was doing, I had to figure a way out of this because, knowing who Cordelia was, if I kept dodging her attacks, she was going to go for Claire, where she sat. "I want you dead!" She spat. "I should have killed you when I had the chance." She said grinding her teeth. "I wonder why Dane was so against it in the first place." Cordelia was working with Dane?! "You never cease to amaze Cordelia." I said not believing my ears. "Of all people to work with when you were exiled, Dane!" I spoke, laughing. "You must have been stranded, having no other choice."

She added dismissively. "Alright, Ms." Cordelia bowed her head slightly towards Riley before she packed up her make-up box and exited the room. Although she's a highly skilled make-up artist, Cordelia has long worked for the Pipers as Riley's personal make-up artist and as such, she's naturally familiar with Riley's unusual or impromptu demands. It was no surprise to her when the young Ms had requested she gave her a gloomy-like make over, such that would easily portray how well she was grieving over her grandfather's death.

ACCEPTING DEFEAT. Giordana. Without bothering to knock when I came across the door that had PHILIP FORBES inscribed on it, I barged into the office. The office was breathtaking. The background colors were white and black, a Black chair, and a cream table with an apple laptop on the top. Behind the chair was a large transparent glass window and you could see the city through it. To the left was a large shelf with books of different sizes and colors, then to the right was a black wall with bold letters of ROYALTY in Golden color and a coffee table in a corner with two couches and a three-seater. All in all the office was just fascinating.

“Two Way Street. Cordelia, 7pm, High Street.” Cordelia. Cordelia was the name of the wedding singer they had hired. A pretty, young woman with a slightly husky voice that Owen had thought was great. She’d had a good repertoire, and an easy-going charm that made her very approachable. Emily had thought she seemed a little spacey and vague and had hoped she would not prove unreliable on the day, but Owen had been keen to give her a shot.

Her grandmother seemed mischievous and fun. Nicolas got up from his stool next to Alexi and offered it to Alexi's grandmother, Cordelia. She smiles and takes a seat right next to Alexi. "Now dear let me hold your hands, I will learn what I need to know simply by touch." Cordelia looks lost in her thoughts to the point she looks like she is in a trance. When Cordelia was conscious, she looked at Alexandria and proclaimed, "I know where they are! They are with the Goddess Miseria, she is the Goddess of depression, of the Valley of Despair and lost hopes and dreams, regrets."
