No touch of cement was there, at least not visible to the bare eyes. And inside was filled with tons of books. The bookshelves were touching the ceiling, and there was a wooden spiral staircase by which a book lover could read a book from the top of the shelf. There were many chairs-tables in one corner and lamps set over the head, indicating that the place was for those who want to read comfortably. The place was segregated with translucent glass, the word 'reader's corner' written in white bold letters on the glass walls did not escape Maze's eyes.

Zane said to her. "Thanks, you don't look bad yourself," Shirley said her cheeks turning pink. "Care for a drink?" Zane asked. Shirley agreed, eager for a drink and not ready to leave his side yet. Zane led her to the back of the room where a large bar stood in one corner. She was busy admiring the whole room from the ceiling to the floor to the windows and the furnishings while Zane ordered their drink. The ceiling must have been close to forty feet high, large chandeliers hung across almost every corner.

He could not afford to be weak. He stepped off the last step of the staircase and walked to a large section carved at a corner, in a L-shapes area. A large wine bar sat embedded in one side of the living area; it had a long granite counter with six bar stools lining up the space behind it. There was a top-to-bottom shelf made with a mirror and glass. Collections of wine, all categories from foreign brandy and whisky to champagnes and red wines.
