HEIR OF PAIN
After a while, the quiet was broken by the sound of footsteps approaching the dining room.
Corner entered, dressed neatly as always, and greeted everyone politely before bowing slightly.
“Good evening, ma’am. Good evening, everyone,” he said respectfully.
He then walked straight toward Ryder, bowing again as he reached his side. From his briefcase, he brought out a brown file and placed it carefully in front of Ryder.
“Sir, I have come to return the file,” Corner said.
Ryder looked up immediately, his expression changing to surprise. His brows furrowed as he stared at the file sitting on the table. It was the same one he had been searching for all morning — the file about the Snake Gang.
