“Exactly,” Ada cooed, finally turning her head to look at Josh. The sweetness in her voice didn't reach her eyes; they remained cold, calculating. “Joshua, darling? What do you think about the floral arch for the entrance? I was thinking we could have it ten feet high, so the cameras get the perfect angle when we walk through.”
Josh didn't look up from his coffee. He was tracing the rim of the white porcelain cup, his thumb moving in slow, hypnotic circles. “Arch. Flowers. Sounds expensive,” he muttered, his voice flat.
