Wolf Rider

Wolf Rider

Ditto buddy! “What? You can fly over the river as a wolf?” I shot. “Almost, I am one of the fastest wolves in Astoria,” Kent said. Not bragging but just like it was a fact. “Why don’t you transform and I hop on your back? I can hold on pretty tight.” I suggested. Kent turned to me slowly. He looked beyond angry. “How dare you!” “What?” I asked, confused. “How dare you ask an Alpha to be your mule? I have never, will never, let anyone ride my back.” He explained further.

The Billionaire Groom (The Hudson Brothers Series 3)

The Billionaire Groom (The Hudson Brothers Series 3)

“I thought all New York bars banned smoking years ago.” “They did . . . the legit ones.” Cootie laughed like a mischievous devil. “If you don’t have your own, Wes sells smokes by the singles. Unfortunately, because of inflation they’re high as shit now. He sells cigars, too.” “Thanks for letting me know,” Bruce said and waved his hand in front of his face quickly to clear the air so he could see. “I need to make the rounds. You be aight?” “Uh, yeah.”

The Work of Grace

The Work of Grace

In the back room where I keep the household items needing repairs, I open the drawer of an old bureau—a wedding gift from my parents— and pull a cigarette from the hidden pack I stash there. With the cigarette sticking to my lips, I light it, then conceal the evidence in the drawer again. When I open the rear barn door, the cows spy me and make their way along the worn paths meandering across their pasture, expecting some kind of treat. Exhaling smoke into the air, I give a weak cough—a residual of last winter’s bout of bronchitis, my third in as many years—then slide aside the stone that covers my used coffee tin and flick the column of ash into it before taking another drag. The cows stop

Her Three Dominant Wolves

Her Three Dominant Wolves

Bellamy warned me, fear slamming into his eyes. I looked at him quizzically. "What's cowboy coffee?" Somehow, Pop's grin got even more devilish. "You'll see in a minute, sweet cheeks." This had Bellamy rolling his eyes but remaining where he stood as Pop walked back into the house. Somehow, my emotions were already getting tamer. One thing was certainly clear after half an hour of being with Pop. I did not like cowboy coffee. Nearly spat it out whilst gagging when I took my first sip.

CAGED, CLAIMED, AND FATED

CAGED, CLAIMED, AND FATED

CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO The room is dark. Not just dim, dark. The kind of darkness that feels intentional. Curated. Like whoever occupies this space prefers shadows to light. A single lamp sits on a mahogany desk. Its weak glow barely illuminates the figure seated behind it. Smoke curls through the air. Thick. Aromatic. Expensive. The man takes a long drag from what he's holding. Not a cigarette. Not something as pedestrian as that. A Cohiba Behike. Cuban. Rare. One of the most expensive cigars in the world.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“Grounded? Need I remind you I’m twenty, not ten?” Gemma lifted her eyebrows. “Need I remind you the legal drinkin’ age is twenty-one, and you doin’ a half-nekkid—” “Fine. I’ll shut up now.” “Good. Besides, that thing is not one of them wussy bulls they use in cowboy bars and charge you five bucks to try. That one of Colby’s is a nasty piece of machinery and the closest to getting on the back of a real bull. It’s dangerous.”

R Hoover
As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.

The Cowboy's Nurse

The Cowboy's Nurse

Her heart beat a little faster. “Mr. Dawson. Small towns, you know how it is. Few decent places to eat.” He laughed, a low and pleasant sound that didn’t reach his cold blue eyes. “Decent is a strong word for Gordão’s. But it has its charm. Authentic. Like the people here.” He nodded at Gordão. “Whiskey, Gordão. Double, on the rocks. And bring a portion of those spicy wings for the lady, on me. She looks like she needs to recover her strength after dealing with our… difficult patient.”

He’s very muscular and drool worthy. “Oh, my bad I'm a little buzzed here cowboy,” Kim laughed. “How do you know my name have we met before?” Cowboy asked. “Ah no I just call guys who wear cowboy hats, cowboy, when I don't know their name.” Kim replied. “Well lucky guess. My name is Cowboy, and this here is my friend Smokey,” Cowboy introduced. “Where's the bandit?” Raine asked laughing. “Ha ha good one, like I haven’t heard that before,” Smokey fake laughed.
