It shows a summary of the life of werewolves in the 1900s and how they protected themselves against the blood hunters. She got another book titled “Vanishing Wolf, a Memoir” Her eyes start to widen as she reads the book.

I moved around and I started with the book titled; "The original werewolves." This sounded like a great story, so I picked it up and began to consume it. Days rolled into weeks and I moved from books to books. Gradually, I was reading a lot of historical books and I was getting fascinated by what I am seeing. Her fingers trailed over several thick volumes—Blood Oaths and Moonlight, Fangs of Fire, The Treaty of Shadows. The illustrations on the covers were beautiful yet chilling, with fanged creatures, glowing eyes, and moons stained crimson. With great care, she pulled down four books and descended, arms full. She found the oversized reading chair near the window and curled into it, flipping open the first book.

"Not much," I replied with a frown. Tyler hovered over the books. One was an ancient leather-bound volume, its pages yellowed with age and filled with hand-drawn illustrations. The text either appeared to be printed somehow, or handwritten by someone with more patience and consistency than I could ever hope to possess. It was titled A History of Lycanthropy, and it detailed some notable packs, wars and werewolf related incidents of the past.

I noticed all the different categories and different sections the books were placed in. With ease, Agatha found each book and I held out my arms as she gathered the books into them. Some of the titles were written in languages I couldn’t read, and some were just… absurd. ‘Werebear physiology’, ‘Werebear magic rituals’, ‘Werebear sexua’-nope not reading it. Just shuffle forward behind the nice kind lady. She stacked a few books labeled ‘Werebear history’ and ‘Werebear proper stamina management’, into my arms, before leading me somewhere else.

It did not give me one. I exhaled through my nose and turned towards the far side of the room where several books lay open beneath protective glass. Those books had not seen daylight in decades. Some were written before Shadowfen had proper borders, before modern supernatural classifications became law, and half the creatures mentioned in those pages were officially declared extinct. I had saved them after the war. Dax never knew and neither did Valerio. Asher probably would have burned them if he had known what they contained. I could not blame him.
