“It seems.. there's bad luck today because you, a witch is here. It's a disturbance to we humans.” “Let's have coffee.” I pointed to the coffee shop right in front of us. Kelly agreed and we entered the coffee shop, ordered snacks and coffee. “So.. tell me, what's your witch realm like?” I cleared my throat, “It is called Crescent moon, it is beautiful, mostly warm in the day and cold at night. It snows and rains whenever the leader of Crescent moon passes away and sometimes rain when the moon gives birth to the sun.” “So you don't get to see the rain and snow quite often?”

Crescent Moon was the very first pack to have been created by the Moon Goddess, the place from which all of our kind, all of our history, ultimately sprang. The great Moonpetal tree resided here; I had always hoped to see it someday. You could practically smell the years in these damp stone walls, speaking of a time that the rest of the packs had long since left behind. A time when cold austerity was the only way to survive.

It was sitting atop a rock, gracefully outlined by the moonlight. "Please... you can have me, but just let her go." I pleaded. The biggest one walked forward, it was so big it looked like it could swallow me with a single bite. 'And why would we do that?' “This one looks quite similar to that one.” He’s right. Both look like crescent moons, except the one in the book has a circular pattern inside it. Mine does too, but one of the mini-circles is stained with crimson. “Does it make a difference?” I ask him. “Just this one circle?” “It makes a huge difference.” He stabs a finger at one of the symbols. “See this one?” He trails his finger down to the next one. “And this one?” “Yeah, they look the same.”
