He said and sighed, he wiped his tears and smiled. “Dont tell anyone I cried or I will kill you.” He said and they both laughed. “Awwwn, come here.” Ivory said stretching her arms and he chuckled before walking to her. He got to her and she hugged him tightly. “Cheer up baby don't you cry, no more tears its cheer up time, laugh with me and we will be, happy happy happy.” She sang in his ears and he laughed. “Dont be like that.” He said laughing on her chest and she smiled.

I say, laughing as a tear drips down my face. "I saw it. It's beautiful." she says, sniffling a little and I look up to see her eyes glistening with tears. "Why are you crying?" I ask, not able to stop my laugh from bubbling up at the absurdity of this moment. "I can't help it. I'm a sympathetic crier." she says, dabbing at her eyes with her shirt sleeve. She starts to giggle and we devolve into a fit of laughter before we're both able to settle ourselves down.

I sobbed, not just cried, no, I was full on snotty nose, fat juicy tears ,and moaning wales that heaved my whole body up and down. I cried for Charlie, my best friend, the only one who laughed at my jokes and was willing to poke fun at our shared pain. I cried for Sammy and Sydney, the twins, (honestly still surprised by that) and for the good life they used to have and lost. I cried for me, for my pathetic meaningless existence that I hated.

I laughed so loud, the whispers of my house workers died down. "Damn..Richard, I am honestly so sorry for laughing like that." I was still giggling a little. Beads of hot tears streamed down my eyes one after the other. You know that kind of laughter you get, when you are so pained and fed up with everything. So you just have to laugh. I reached out my fingers, wiping the tears of my face gently. I swallowed hard, controlling the remaining tears that gathered in my eyes.

His body shook as he laughed, gasping and heaving… He laughed as tears gathered in his eyes. He laughed until he started to sob.

For a moment I just stared at what was inside while my brain tried to process what I was seeing. Then something broke inside me and I started laughing. It started as a small sound in the back of my throat but quickly grew louder and more hysterical while tears streamed down my face. I laughed until my stomach hurt and I couldn't breathe and the tears were flowing so fast I couldn't see, but I couldn't stop. I just kept laughing and crying and staring at the contents of the box while my entire body shook with the force of it.

A full, deep laugh. She couldn’t tell if it was pain or pure disbelief, but she laughed until her chest hurt.

I grabbed her arm, dragged her across the office, and hauled her out the door. I turned to the Security Guard, who was still frozen outside. “Take her out, or you’ll be next,” I instructed, my voice flat and dangerous, and walked back into the office. I didn't even look at my husband. I sighed, pulled out a tissue, cleaned my bleeding nose and hand, and started taking out the documents I came to discuss. Then, Eddie’s laughter echoed in the office. It was a full, raw sound. I spun around to look at him. It was the first time I’d ever seen him laugh—a genuine laugh. I was convinced he wasn't capable of it. His smile was so bright, his green eyes tearing up with unmasked amusement.

I covered my mouth with my free hand, the laughter bubbling up uncontrollably, fueled by a strange mix of adrenaline, shock, and total frustration. Laziel reached out, placing a firm, stabilizing hand on my shoulder, "Rhea. What is funny? This isn't funny. This is a serious threat. That person knows you, they're telling you they've been watching you for a long time." But I couldn't stop. The soft laugh turned into a full-blown, slightly hysterical cackle. I threw my head back, tears pricking my eyes, "Oh, God." I finally managed, wiping a hand across my eyes, trying to catch my breath, "I just... I just can't believe it."

Tears pricked my eyes, blurring my vision, but these tears were different too. They weren’t from sorrow. “Stop crying and laughing like that. You’ll make me cry,” Cindy huffed, rolling her eyes to mask her emotions. “Now hurry up. Pack, Myla. We don’t have time.”
