Cried Laughing Novels & Stories

He’s laughing. Not the polished CEO laugh I’ve heard in boardrooms. A real, helpless, boyish laugh that ends in a snort. Leo loses it. Falls off the stool giggling. I feel it start in my chest : small, traitorous, unstoppable. A laugh bubbles up , catches in my throat, turns into something that sounds dangerously close to a sob. But it’s not a sob. I’m laughing . I’m laughing so hard my eyes water and my ribs hurt and I have to grip the counter to stay upright .

I inquired, raising my grown up so I could bend to her level. She raised her head up and met my face then all of a sudden she started laughing boisterously while also crying as well. I had never seen someone laugh so loud and cry even louder. I didn't even know what to do at the moment, so I squatted before her, I joined in her craziness and began laughing loudly. “At least I know why I am laughing, so I won't be considered crazy. Do you know why you're laughing?” She questioned with a voice light but heavy at the same.

“Hahaha—” Stephen suddenly laughed in anger. After a few laughs, he raised his hand and slapped himself hard. Smack! Once. Smack! Twice. Tears swirled in his eyes, but he did not seem to feel the pain at all. Adam and his assistant grabbed his hands, shouting, “Calm down!” Stephen’s laughter disappeared. He began to cry softly. Then, the crying grew louder until he was sobbing uncontrollably like a child.

I groaned and held my head, closing my eyes tight till it ebbed down. Ryu... I started to laugh. How I felt exactly? Even I didn't know. There were so many emotions. Fear, anger, hatred. But the greatest was despair. I wanted to disappear. This feeling... I didn't like it at all. I laughed and laughed. I didn't know why I was laughing. Nothing was funny but I was laughing. My heart was aching but I was laughing. My head hurt but I was laughing. I felt empty but I was laughing. It wasn't until I felt my wet cheeks that I stopped. I touched my face. I was crying. Why was I laughing and crying?

And then something else came, something that started low, built quickly and came out of me before I could pull it back. It wasn't tears, not at first, it was laughter, a broken sound that climbed up my throat and spilled out of me like it had been waiting there for a long time and the tears came with it, rolling down my cheeks while the sound was still leaving my mouth and I couldn't stop either of them.

She mumbled. He chuckled. “You can laugh, Scarlett.” As soon as he said the word, she guffawed. She bent over, clutching her belly, and laughed until her whole frame shook. He joined her, unable to resist her infectious laughter. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled. “I just can’t, I can’t…” She laughed until tears welled up in her eyes. When she quieted down, she dabbed at her eyes. “I’m so sorry, I sound like a hyena when I laugh…”

He could at least try to act like he cared. After staring at me for a while, he burst out in laughter. "Hahahahahahahaha!" He laughed ecstatically, "That's a good one right there! You almost had me for a second" he said as he wiped a tear drop from his left eye, smiling like he was high on some narcotic substance. He stared at me while smiling and noticed that I wasn't laughing. Hell, I wasn't even smiling at all.

Her laughter, though punctuated by coughs, was a testament to her spirit, a defiance against the pain and suffering that sought to confine her. Despite the sorrow that enveloped the room, I couldn't resist joining in the duet of laughter and tears. It was a bittersweet symphony, a melody of emotions that intertwined in the most poignant of ways. Guila's smile, genuine and unburdened, was a light that cut through the darkness that had descended upon us. Yet, my own smile felt fragile, as if it were a mask barely concealing the wellspring of grief within.

He said in a reprimanding tone but his eyes told me he was just being sarcastic I didn't realized but then my hand immediately came to my cheeks,noticing them wet. When did it happened.I think in panic .But I don't cry easily,I'm used to seeing such situations. I immediately removed wetness from my cheeks almost blushing at my actions. I'm not crying and why would I cry for a jerk like you.Mother Earth would be glad to be free from such maniac. His mouth curved upwards a little. I'm not crying for you its just hospital shifts and all that stuff is stressing me out

"Such a sad story you have." "You're lying." "I'm not a liar." She said in all seriousness. I stared at her not knowing if I should laugh or cry. I did both. I broke down in a hysterical laugh tipped with sobs. "Um…I don't know how to comfort you because I don't know why you are crying."
