My Contract Marriage

My Contract Marriage

Crystal chuckled. “I get why you are interested in him. He is very responsible and all... what I don't understand is why I should be tormented because of your silly unrequited crush??” her eyebrows shot up inquisitively, and she used Laurie’s silence as an opportunity to proceed. The act of attempting to murder someone is a grave crime in our society. I'm curious about the potential punishment for committing two such acts, along with other crimes.”

Michelle
This story started off great with the hostile attitudes, but 94 chapters in and three attempted murders with Kayden not caring or Crystal not reacting to the seriousness has me rethinking if I want to continue spending money on a story that is dragging along. Please give us more story not fluff.

It was an epic and emotional rollercoaster.Kayden made me angry a lot of times but I guess he is a good man and he deserved to keep her. The characters in this book are very good. I love how Paige is such a supportive friend. A must read!

Cruel Capone

Cruel Capone

Zack took a big breath, “He works for Ansaldo Cadell.” My body turned cold. Ansaldo was my rival, a man so ruthless that he even killed his wife just for looking at another man. Well, technically, she cheated on him, but still. He has a massive body count, more than mine. In my defense, I don’t just kill, I kill for a reason. I kill for a purpose. Ansaldo kills because he has no remorse, not a single care who he kills. He kills for the thrill, for the fun of it.

the taller officer asked. She nodded. “We need you to come with us, Ma'am.” Her body tensed. “What’s this about?” “It’s your brother. Nathan Miller. He’s in custody.” Her heart stopped. “What? Why?” The officer looked down at the clipboard. “Multiple charges. Trafficking. Illegal arms. Possession with intent to distribute. Attempted sale across state lines. There’s a federal interest involved.” She stared, stunned. “What the hell are you talking about? My brother teaches high school calculus and gets anxious ordering pizza.”

I'm In Love With A Criminal

I'm In Love With A Criminal

Mateo said with a relieved expression. This was exactly why Luciano poured vast sums of money into the judicial system every year. Simply making someone with a similar appearance confess and be detained? It wasn't that simple. They twisted witness testimonies cleverly, omitted evidence, and substituted or tampered with evidence that had been submitted. Even if there were suspicious aspects of the evidence or witnesses, they pushed the case forward, ignoring them. From street patrol officers to prosecutors and judges—the bribes spread throughout the judicial system were designed to produce significant effects when needed.

The Alpha’s Rogue Mate

The Alpha’s Rogue Mate

I glared at him and turned to run up the stairs. I got to my room, slammed the door shut, and locked it. I picked up the laptop from the study table and searched for the word that was bothering me the most. "Mafia" Hesitantly, I clicked on the first search result that pulled up and started to read everything about it. Mafia is an informal term that is used to describe a criminal organization that bears a strong similarity to the Sicilian Mafia... Mafias often engage in secondary activities such as gambling, loan sharking, drug trafficking, prostitution, and fraud...

Doll Crimes

Doll Crimes

His thick fingers crawling delicately through the folds. How did I murder plum-shirt guy, and not see this one? I know his type just by looking at him. The eyes blurred behind dirty glasses, the thinning hair. Creased shirt, cracked belt. The type who washes his face but not his neck, his palms but not the backs of his hands. Fresh soap and old sweat. He’d taste musty, bitter, old. Leaving that taint in my hair, around my throat.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 'Cicin' series is a fascinating blend of science fiction and deep philosophical questions that really makes you think. Set in a universe where humanity has reached the stars, it follows the journey of a gifted scientist who stumbles upon an ancient alien technology that opens up a myriad of possibilities—and dangers. As she experiments with this device, she unwittingly ignites a conflict between different factions vying for control over its secrets. The stakes rise as political intrigue, ethical dilemmas, and the implications of wielding such power come to a head.

What I find particularly gripping is how 'Cicin' doesn’t just focus on the thrill of the chase. It dives deep into the moral quandaries of using alien technology that can alter time and space. The characters are not just plot devices; they are complex individuals shaped by their experiences and choices. The protagonist's journey is both external—navigating a universe filled with conflict—and internal, grappling with her own values and the consequences of her actions.

There's a well-crafted suspense that keeps me turning the pages late into the night, alongside the philosophical musings that linger long after finishing a chapter. Every twist and turn raises questions about humanity's place in the cosmos, making 'Cicin' not just a story, but a discussion starter about our own technological advancements and their potential ramifications.
