Criminal Minds No Way Out Novels & Stories

His fingers shook as he swept a cold smile across the crowd. “The memory decoder is a new product. Data misalignment is normal. Maybe Finn altered the memories before he died to drag his wife down with him. After all, he’s a murderer who even dared to kill his wife's parents!” A team member burst in, face ashen, shouting, “Chief! Another murder just happened in the south district! The victim was carved up and had bones severed—the method is exactly the same!” Linda struggled to her feet. She looked at me slumped in the chair, long devoid of life, her whole body shaking.

“Oh, yes. Do you want me to play you a livestream and see how many of Harvey’s fingers they’ve chopped off?” Wayne was the head of the Yorks’ connections to the underground. As such, he was highly knowledgeable about how those from the blacker parts of society execute their tasks. He also knew very well on how to ruin a woman’s last line of defence and crush them psychologically. Mandy stared hard at Wayne, screaming, “You’re nothing but a monster!” Wayne grinned once more. “Honestly, you’re not the first one to say that to me before.” “However, I very much enjoy people calling me that. It just shows how much they fear me.”

“One at a time, please! You there.” As soon as he called on the man standing across the aisle, Layla and Carter stood up on either side of him. “Isn’t it true,” he began in a confident voice that made Mira nervous for what might come next, “that you suffered a psychotic break last night and tried to murder Mira Cole?” “No! Absolutely not! I was at the Hyatt” “Alone,” the man pointed out. “This is ridiculous!” “We received word that the security cameras at the Escala your building had been shut off so that the attempted killer couldn’t be caught on camera.”

“Stop being a bitch! I am serious, I need to get the out of this fucking place. I want to go back to Australia, coming here was a mistake. But I need cash to leave.” “Ask Dad.” “I have dumbass. The jackass won’t let me have any money.” “Then ask mom.” He rolled his eyes. “Mom can’t keep financing me.” “Then get a job. Whatever. Just stop moaning. I have troubles of my own. The stupid cops have let the bitch go.” “Adele?” “Who else?” “Why?” “They are looking at new suspects for now.” Craig looked panicky. “What new suspects?” “I don't know but-”

Hearing their support, Lucius became completely lost in his own power trip. He walked to the front of the stage and, facing everyone, declared in a booming voice: "By the authority of the Alliance Chairman, and invoking the ancient laws, I find the criminal Clara Winters guilty of promiscuity, deceit, and treason!" He paused, a cruel glint in his eye. "I sentence her and the bastard in her womb to—" Just as he was about to say the words "death by fire," a calm voice cut him off. "Wait." I slowly rose from my seat. My gaze swept across the hall, finally landing on his stunned face. "Chairman. Have you... forgotten something?"

"Is this enough? I can get more. I'd rather the money come to me than go to the mistress." I counted the zeros. More than 150 million. Well, that was screw-you money, certainly. "More than enough. Alright, here's the plan. We can…" … We came up with the perfect plan and decided to fake our deaths. The date? My sister-in-law's birthday. The one to push the blame to? My husband's mistress, Lorelei. Oh, some people might call me cruel, but you should've seen the message she sent me. I'd love to make sure she gets a life sentence.

It was crowded enough to hide her, but not so crowded that she might go unnoticed among the throngs. She could remember that she was hurrying out of the motel, being low-key, as not to make herself visible and notice her presence as breaking news appeared on the old small TV mounted on a wall corner in her room. She still remembers the huge and very clear mugshot when the voice sounds very serious: "Breaking news: Clara Hemp, a convict, has escaped from an ultra-secure mental health care facility. Authorities declare she is one of the more dangerous felons. Citizens advised to be wary and report anyone suspicious activity forthwith."

"There's no other way out but death. If you made it in, you'll never make it out alive." "Who's responsible for this kind of shit?" Anger rushed through my face when he uttered the name of the culprit. The fire trying to flee from my eyes swerved to his frightened face down to his shaking knees. "Spare my life, my daughter is at stake. I have to keep her out for she might become the next oblate. Please, I beg you." "You've made it easy for me, but I can't trust you enough." He dropped unconscious on the floor as I whacked his neck with the side of my hand. Mercy could be too good to be true.

“I do and then I don’t. The last thing I truly remember was smoke. Other than that it’s all a blank slate.” “It looks like we really have some type of mystery on our hands.” I mumbled as I crossed my arms over my chest. “Alright, here is the deal,” I said. “I will do my best to help you find out what causes that led you here and in return, you stopped moving my things around and tapping or poking me in places that you shouldn’t.” I stared at him with my own gaze. “Do we have a deal?” Jem sighed and only gave in knowing that if he didn’t agree, he wouldn’t hear the end of it from me. “Deal.” He muttered as he vanished into thin air.

She let go of his hand and just stood there staring at the stranger in front of her. "I've spent many years driving that old rig up and down these roads. I worked long hours trying to provide for my family. Trying to give them a better life. I've lived a good life. I tried to be a good man. I never intentionally caused harm to others. In all my years driving that old truck I never once had an accident. Never once failed to meet a deadline. Never once did I fail to deliver a load. Never failed to make it home to my loved ones. I raised three intelligent and kind children. I married the love of my life, my best friend in the whole world... I needed to tell you these things. I needed you to kno
