The burning sensation in my throat woke me up in the middle of darkness. I pulled the blanket covering my body and got out of bed. I swallowed my saliva and walked towards the door; maybe Nick was in the living room. Would I drink his blood again? My memory of his blood filling my throat a few hours ago intensified this burning sensation, but a moment later, a feeling of disgust followed that memory.
