The HIDDENS
Jake’s sword flashed as he struck at the creature, but its tough hide deflected his blows.
Althea tried to bind the demon with a spell, but it broke free with a roar, sending her sprawling.
“We can’t fight it head-on,” I said, my mind racing. “There has to be another way.”
Fatima pointed to the demon’s chest, where a glowing crystal pulsed with light. “What about that? Looks important.”
“It’s worth a shot,” Jake said.
Working together, we devised a plan. Althea distracted the demon with bursts of light, while Fatima and I worked to weaken its defenses. Jake seized the opening, driving his sword into the crystal with all his strength.
