Nico sat up—still in joggers and T-shirt. Elara’s eyes narrowed. “Who—?” The door opened—Celeste stepped in first, Remy behind her. The room went still. Celeste’s gaze swept over them—Nico in the center, four queens around him, wristbands matching. She smiled—small, knowing. “I’m Dr. Celeste Morau. Principal of Storm Academy. And I just crashed your Board meeting.” She looked at Nico—really looked. “I’m here because something is off about you, Mr. Black. And I intend to find out what. But first…”

The crystal was larger than they had imagined, a massive shard of glowing, multifaceted stone that pulsed with a powerful, otherworldly light. She mumbled to herself still in her room. “Come on Crystal, you still have the whole year to go out with them, just come down let’s study. Your exam is in three days time.” Mrs. Bethy begged .
