“Breathe in as you draw the arrow… and when you exhale, you release.”
When I let go of the arrow, it shot forward like a rocket and struck the target right in the bullseye, making the pups gasp in awe.
“That was amazing, Luna!” They said in unison.
Lucia clapped softly from behind me, and a smile tugged at my lips.
One by one, the pups took turns to shoot the arrows. Some arrows went wide, others barely left the string and dropped to the ground, but I encouraged them all, adjusting their stances, correcting their grips, and kneeling beside the smaller ones so they wouldn’t feel intimidated.
