“But love will be their ruin. Their son will destroy them both.” Alex bowed deeply as the mist thickened. “Long live the Queen of Shadows.” My father raised his staff, chanting in a low voice. “Go, my child. Awaken the one who sleeps beyond the veil.” The mist swallowed me whole. And as I vanished into the void, my lau ghter echoed across the dark halls cold, proud, and hungry for blood. “Soon,” I whispered, “the lineage of dragons will be wiped out once more.”

Unlit lanterns lined the way and she just merely thought about lighting them and with a single whoose, they lit a path for her to follow. Standing in the doorway, peering into the unknown she was deciding her next steps. Decision made. She faded into her Schatten form and traveled quickly down the hallway and entered a cavernous room with high ceilings and an edge that looked off into the abyss. Darkness upon darkness that her Schatten eyes could penetrate and withing her view she saw a very patient dragon sitting on the edge of the abyss. He was more like impatient child as he projected, 'Child come! There is no time to waist and you must be trained to fight the enemies that are standing in
