Melody’s POV I was so happy to see Elaine and munchkin, her name is Michelle, but we’ve just always called her munchkin, so it stuck. Her little beaded plats were adorable and her big brown doe eyes could make you swoon and I couldn’t help but snuggle her to me, “munchkin, you’ve gotten so big,” I kissed all over her face and she giggled as she squirmed for me to release her. Something inside shifted, and she heard a tiny, plaintive sound. "What—" "Open it." Marcelline reached back and pulled the box forward, setting it on her lap. The sound came again, a soft mewing that made her chest tighten. She lifted the lid. A kitten stared up at her. Tiny, maybe eight weeks old, with gray and white fur that was slightly matted. Its eyes were huge and green, looking at her with the kind of trust that only very young things could manage. "Lucien..." Her voice came out strangled.

She bent down slightly, and called out softly, “Mimi?” The cat let out a cheerful meow as if answering to its name. “Mimi seems to really like you,” the shop owner—a gentle young woman—said with a light laugh. “She’s usually quite picky and doesn’t go near strangers.” Annie chuckled and asked if she could hold the kitten. With a nod of permission, Annie happily set down her fork and carefully lifted the soft, snow-white cat onto her lap. She gently stroked its silky fur, and the kitten purred in delight, eyes slowly closing as it snuggled comfortably against Annie’s body.

She grabbed Beau's hand running over to the puppy area to look at puppies/dogs. They looked through the puppies/dogs seeing different breeds (such as Golden Retrievers, Huskies, German Shepherds, Pugs, French BullDogs, etc…). Marigold crouched down putting her finger up against the glass while a puppy tried to lick it. She looked up at Beau, standing next to her, and said, "Awe look how sweet he is." A woman with black hair and hazel eyes walked up to us with a big smile. "Hi! Welcome to Paws & Claws. How can I help you?" "We're looking for a cat for this cutie here." Wren smiled and waved at the woman. "What kind do you want, pumpkin?" She opened the little gate and let us walk in. The kittens and bigger cats crowded around us, meowing and purring.

*Munch munch* “Will you chew a bit more quietly for crying out loud!” the man turned to the beast that was making such a loud noise and interrupting his thoughts. It was a small black kitten with wings. It eyed him innocently and continued eating it meal, making more noise than it was before. “This brat,” the man’s eyelids twitched at the cat’s naked provocation. Having traveled with the beast for several millennia he was already familiar with its antics. None proved as annoying as this one.

He sure as hell looked more intimidating than most, but somehow he was rather gentle. "I have a cat. Her name is Mittens. She was a stray and I took her in after I left my pack. I could relate, you know?" Carlton explained and moved closer to the wound again. I shut my eyes as he pressed the tip of the prongs in. Metal slipped in my blood, looking for the bullet that might leave me cripple. "She is ginger and black with white patches all along her body. I built her a cat play house before I came here. Some of my friends said they would look after her. I miss that girl every damn day," he admitted.

"What kind of cat is he? He's huge," Jessie asked while stroking Code with open curiosity. "He's a Maine Coon. Also, Ronny bought me that fluffy, intimidating one over there with the blue eyes. That's a Siberian." Jack introduced the cats one by one.
