I wanted to laugh at the expression at her face but decided against it.
The woman grinned, revealing toothpaste advertisement-worthy teeth. "How are you? Come in!" Her enthusiasm was contagious. I felt myself smiling.
Precious and I followed closely behind her.
"What are your names?" She asked us without looking at us.
"I'm Luc," I said. She gave me a smile over her shoulder and did not ask if it was short for anything.
"I'm Precious," Precious said, barely audible.
"I'm Nikky. Mother of Jacob, James, Erin, Edwin and Bobo," she said. "Call me Nikky. N-i-k-k-y. It is short for Nicola."
