Torque walked up to the massive treads, reaching out with his organic hand to touch the cold, unyielding metal. He pulled his hand back quickly, as if afraid the machine might suddenly wake up and bite him. "I've scavenged scraps from Blackwatch drones," the cyborg warlord muttered, shaking his head. "I've built guns out of plumbing pipes. But this... Wraith, this is the fist of God."

“Completely insane…” Her instincts screamed at her. If he continued like this, the next strike would obliterate him from within, shredding his organs to ash before his body even hit the ground. Without hesitation, Raiden descended, the storm parting briefly around her presence. She landed silently behind him, her glowing palm pressing against his back. Her thunder tattoos erupted with blinding light, lightning weaving into a shield—not to block heaven’s wrath, but to reinforce the boy’s failing body, protecting his organs while leaving his spirit exposed to the tribulation.

From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself. A rogue tries to flee. Ragnar's scythe spins out of his hand, decapitating him, but he doesn't kill him, I notice, just as someone knocks me down and just like that, I'm carried into the heat of the battle again. Ryker, on the other hand, blurs between wolf and human, leaving dead men in his wake till the last of the rogues stands. "Who sent you?" Ryker asks. I wobble on my feet, completely exhausted but manage to keep the stray wolf firmly in a chokehold.

Just then, a man pushed through the crowd and stepped in front of Derek. “Alpha, give the word—we’re ready.” It was his Beta, voice calm but filled with authority. Kelvin froze, as if struck by lightning. “What… what did you call him? Alpha?” he stuttered. Derek tilted his head, smirking. “Do you doubt the existence of the Rogue Pack?” Kelvin didn’t answer. His lips moved but no words came out. Alex, still seated, looked stunned. “Wait… that Rogue Pack? The one that’s invaded territory after territory over the past years? The one with the mysterious Alpha no one has ever seen?”

It releases me with a yelp. I stumble backward, clutching my bleeding arm. The rogues regroup, getting ready for another attack. I'm losing. I know I'm losing. My vision is starting to blur from pain and blood loss. My partial shift is slipping because I can't concentrate. The rogues sense weakness. They move in for the kill. I brace myself, claws out, ready to go down fighting. Then a blur of movement crashes into the largest rogue from the side. Ryder. He's fully shifted, a massive dark wolf with amber eyes. He's easily twice the size of the rogues.

Watson asked, walking up to Agenta, and grabbing her hand. “I told him, Cousin, you are a brave, wonderful man, be fast, be safe, and I love him.” She replied holding back tears from falling down her rosy cheeks. As Raiden stepped out onto the icy tundra his heart was pounding in his chest, he squinted his eyes looking for his rivals as the sting of the harsh wind sliced his face. “Where are you? You cowards!” His chest barrelled as he stood up straight peering at the dark figures moving closer through the storm.
