Denise mumbled. "Come on. I will help you to your apartment." Cyrus offered as they both walked towards Denise's front door. * * Few minutes later, Cyrus returned to his apartment, a little exhausted. He got into his room and met his phone, ringing. It turned out to be his friend, Jack. "Hey buddy." He said into the phone. "I've been calling for like ages. What happened?" Jack's angry voice could be heard from the other line. "I'm sorry but I had to take someone to the hospital."

“No, please. I’m fine, Doctor Wilson.” “Alright then.” He could only sigh in defeat. “Just keep an eye on yourself. If you start to feel dizzy or unwell at all, you need to let me know immediately.” “Of course,” she promised. Dr. Wilson handed her the patient's file and adjusted his tie. Olivia skimmed through the pages: male, early forties, spinal cord injury. Before she realized it, her thoughts were already painting a vivid picture of the patient in the operating room. She and Dr. Wilson spent the next few minutes going over the details of the surgery. Once they wrapped up their discussion, he glanced at the clock and said, “Alright, let’s get prepared. It is almost time.”

Nervousness crawled up to my sleeves until I saw Cyrus with a syringe in his hands. “He’s unconscious, take him away,” I heard him say before deciding to help me up while offering his almost calloused hands, “Are you hurt anywhere?” I shook my head before accepting his hands reluctantly, “N-No, is he okay? He sounded like he needed help.” “No, he does not need help, he has been acting crazy ever since he um…took a sip on a bottle of wine or something.” Cyrus sounded unsure while averting his gaze. “O-Oh uh, okay. I hope he will be alright.” I mumbled before watching them handle the situation swiftly like police at a crime scene.

Cyrus swallowed bitter saliva as tears streamed from his eyes on both sides dropping on and sinking the pillow immediately. "I don't really want to explain it on the phone. I'm at Ashgrove Hospital. Please come quickly and don't tell Luther about this, Come alone." He added as Koel groaned in frustration. "Okay, you two are just being childish at this point. You have to get over your egos and reconcile with each other," he said. Cyrus replied. "Whatever. Don't bring him or tell him, I'll be waiting." He said and ended the call.

"I'll do everything I can to save Kenneth. Zoey is an attending physician at a major hospital. With her here, there's hope." His pocket dimension was stocked with medicine, three cargo containers of drugs, along with medical equipment he had scavenged later. He meant every word. He would try. The outcome, however, rested with fate.

See why you should have waited?” “I’m sorry,” the doctor apologized shakily, rushing to adjust the monitor. Amaya and Ryder were quietly escorted out by the nurses, even though Ryder tried to argue. Amaya didn’t even look back. That hurt more than it should’ve, but I couldn’t do anything. Cyrus, of course, insisted on staying. The doctor adjusted the monitors again, muttering something to the nurses. After managing to somewhat calm me down, he bowed deeply in apology one last time. Then they stepped out, leaving me alone with Cyrus.

Hearing the doctor's words just now, Cyrus finally felt relieved. Last night, he stayed by Grace's side and didn't even dare to blink, but sometimes people were very anxious. At about eight o'clock in the morning, he went to the bathroom. It took him less than two minutes. But when he came back, what waited for him was Grace, who was breathing weakly. There was a brief moment where I wanted to go see Sage but something told me she would be sleeping. I decided I would see her later on. But for now, I had to get to that man before Cyrus did. It wouldn't surprise me if he tried to kill the man.

Minutes later a middle aged man with long flowy white beards entered the room with Theo. We all stood back as he examined Cyrus.
